What is a hadron then Andrew?
Hadron is a name of a group of particles, such as neutrons and protons.
Does that not mean the same scrutiny for 'Quark'?
Could do.
Depends if anyone were to object.
Yep, objection

no because he also cooked the meals on deep space nine
Good point. He was a small fella with big ears, so probably sub-atomic in size.

are you suggesting the Oxford English Dictionary isn't a reliable source for an objection

OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!
A subatomic particle is an elementary or composite particle smaller than an atom. Particle physics and nuclear physics are concerned with the study of these particles, their interactions, and non-atomic matter.
Hadrons are defined as strongly interacting composite particles.
oxford english dictionary defintion
http://www.askoxford.com/concise_oed/hadron?view=uk
seconded
tho not through any sense of understanding what is going on, just through self interest.
Just went for Hadron coz I went for Bonar Law for the PM and wanted a phallic theme to my answer set.

Posting something in a large font makes it more factually correct.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hadron
In particle physics, a hadron (pronounced /ˈhæːdɹɒn/, from the Greek: ἁδρός, hadrós, "stout, thick") En-us-hadron.ogg listen (help·info) is a bound state of quarks.
therefore hadron a bundle, quark not.

Yep, objection
There are different quarks, which come together to form specific named particles.
Hadrons is just a name for any number of particles, none of which actually go together to 'form' a hadron.
Therefore ruling is, Up Quark to be assumed to be the same as Quark, Quark now scores 4, Junglecat loses the Ace.
Hadron still a fail.
