Personally, i would elect to call the raise. Villian may well have a straight, but he could also have a flush draw, say  and is raising to try and semi bluff you off it. You have four outs to the full house, with good implied odds if you do happen to hit it.
I would then probably check / call the river, unless a spade lands, which would make me more likely to fold to a big bet.
I would probably go for a check raise if we hit the full house, because i think that villian will probably bet again with or without a hand.

just having a stab by the way. Not really got much idea about these spots. Would villian really raise so small with a straight here?
not so sure. still think a semi-bluff more likely

Never folding here

I mean he has Kj as often as he has 55 . Peel and reassess

Basically my thoughts were jam or call/reassess

I ended up calling and having to fold on a river, but I wondered if jamming was better, much more 2pair/bluff combos than 55 so surely a jam is better ott right?

With OPR as my only read, I think I might fold. He's bluffing precisely 0% of the time and its pretty thin but from looking at an OPR like that I think there's a pretty good chance he's not raising KJ on the turn and raises the flop a huge % of the time with it anyway. Vs a complete random I might just go all in as you see them do all sorts of dumb stuff with just top pair and worse 2pairs but just looking at OPR I'd be suprised if that was the case with him

Am I too much of a nit?

I'm 100% sure i was winning on the turn, especially after action in other hands. In fact, i busted him when i raise ATo, he flats, bb flats. Comes AcT9c and i cbet, he minraises, bb flats, i jam, he calls with AJ and bb has KTcc, and we hold.

edit: thats clear aftertiming though, I think he had some really retarded shit here, but real tough spot in a vacuum
Got to be very close between call/call and jam the turn though right?

I'm with you on folding. Doesn't make any sense at all for him to raise with KJ/semi bluffs if he didn't raise the flop.
