Glad ye enjoyed it.  You mentioned he got tired towards the end of the trip, but how's he getting on generally these days?

Glad ye enjoyed it.  You mentioned he got tired towards the end of the trip, but how's he getting on generally these days?

Doing very well indeed but is still very thin. 18.8 k this week. He has a few days where he goes completely off eating because his tummy is hurting him then other days he will east for England. Still on Gastro feeds over night and calorie shake in the day at school to boost his energy up.

Stacey is having another meeting with the teachers today to once again emphasize how tired he is becoming. They tend to forget just how ill Reece has been because apart from him being a lot smaller than others in his class that is all they see. They still make him do out door PE and other energetic things which although we realize the importance of him not being treated different, unfortunately it does him no good physically. Once he starts getting tired he gets really poorly quickly then we have to spend the rest of the day trying to fluid him back up again to make him feel better again. They tend not to notice when he is first getting tired and leave it too late to call us so we can get him home before he gets too low. I personally think it is more about figures ie him being absent and making the school attendance records look bad. He does not have many days off ill but when he has one  they go on at Stacey. I took him out of school for 2 days last week when we attended Lego Land, if I didn't he would not get to go as it is best for him when it is quiet or he would have to wait too long for rides etc and not get to do much before he gets tired again. I look at it this way, he has missed out on far too much during the hospital years and he isn't going to miss out when he is fit enough to enjoy a few days out.

Quick update.

Reece is doing exceptionally well, had an outpatients appointment last month and for the first time ever we were told no need to be seen again until September. He is still struggling to maintain a constant weight gain and is still hovering around the 19.5 area. Remains on his little special feeds over night but this is now been reduced slowly.

Darren and I are taking him away on his holiday next weekend, he is very excited. Once again Thomas Cook have granted us medical seats and an extra medical suitcase.

Stacey has just completed her exams at Uni so is feeling relieved.

Here they are at a wedding last week.

Great News about Reece, & Stacey is turning out to be a Maureen

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
