Hey Snoopy,

The site looks great, I have one suggestion so simple i'm sure it's not implemented for a reason or i've missed it. Is it going to be possible to search for players in the database through their blonde username?

For instance in the search box if i type 'Snoopy' it says 'no matches found'. No I have to admitt I didn't know your real name for quite a while, until i met you last summer in Vegas actually, ditto Red Dog, Matt674, Ariston etc. I know some people have this info if you click their username on the blonde forum but some don't. I'm not sure if it's just me but i'm so used to referring to blondites by their forum names that i often have no clue what their name in the real world is!

That is awesome stuff. Top work Smiley

I promise to write a bio for the man Carter. Maybe he'll write me one in return Wink

I really think Flushy should write yours...
2103  Poker Forums / The Rail / free WSOP Live coverage right now on: June 12, 2007, 11:53:24 PM
If anyone is wondering what you get for your money I believe that the Ladies bracelet is being shown for free on the official wsop site right now.
2104  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Hellmuth, the guy is a legend on: June 12, 2007, 02:00:09 PM
I watched about the first two hours of this final table, before my internet went down and Hellmuth was in complete control. The only person who was going to trouble him was Scott Clements, once he'd gone it was all over.

As an aside, I too have had the pleasure of interviewing Phil and have to say it was an experience i'll never forget. It took place on the outside of his penthouse suite in Aruba (obv a brag post, a few journos had been flown out to cover the event) and like Barry said he was fond of reminding you how good he was, going as far to say that he felt he wasn't using all his powers (so he donated a bunch of money to charity) and that if he used all his powers it'd be unfair lol. But, he was also very respectful of other players. I asked him who else he thought would get to 10 bracelets and he mentioned: Seidel, Ivey and Cunnigham as the three he thought would go double figures. Phil also quoted 24 as the number he'd like to win.

The UB reps managed to get us jobsworths invited to Phil's penthouse party - the only drink Don P obv - we arrive about 11pm and expect the place to be rocking, instead there are a handful of people sitting about, the main event at this party is a serious game of Trivial Pursuit between Annie Duke and friends and PokerHo and friends - who btw do not know what the capital of Belguim is - it really was a lol moment at how dead this supposed party was. Say what you like about annoying american internet players but at least they know how to party (edit: drink) - see here: http://tinyurl.com/23zgrg

What do you get for your $49.95?

You get access to live audio and video coverage of various poker events at the WSOP, WSOPE and WSOP circuit for 12 months and a free subscripton to Bluff magazine. But it's the first two we're really interested in right?

If you click on the WSOP live drop down bar on the home page of the official site you'll see a broadcast schedule of which events have live audio and which have live (hour delay) video coverage. The schedule is a little tricky to read as they've used similar colours. But... highlights of video coverage incl: the $1500 tonight, the $5000 NLHE on the 15th June and the $5,000 NLLHE six handed on the 30th June. You'll also get real time audio coverage on the $5,000 HU bracelet the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E and the Main event - although I know you could get live streaming of that last year.

I know you'll be out in Vegas for some of those but still I think £25 is a great deal for all you get.

I paid the $49.95 for WSOP video coverage and managed to watch the $1500 SH final in the small hours of Saturday night/Sunday morning and have to say it's well worth it, even more so when you consider they'll do the same for WSOPE and you get Brian Wilson's commentary, some of the stuff he was saying about Humberto had me in stiches.

Anyway tonight they've got video coverage of Hellmuth's final table which has got to be worth the $49.95 alone, if he wins great to watch, if he loses he falls off his chair.

And UTG+1 scoops, what looks to be a 50k pot. Who is this person you might ask?

It's Mark 'Mantis01' Allden, who'll writes quite often (and thoughtfully) on the PHA boards.

So the indentity is revealed. I really like his posts and remember talking in manchester to you about this and us both saying 'if only we knew who he/she was!'  now we do. good luck mark, i look forwad to the analysis of this hand on pha

edit: realise i deleated the bit about the kk vs aa vs qq hand

No mate not yet. Matt and myself are playing the side events too so will be there from Wednesday. Matt has a wedding to attend on the Saturday so we're hoping he gets the Friday or can swap starting days if he draws the Saturday.
2112  Poker Forums / The Rail / B'mouth Hotels on: June 08, 2007, 01:37:48 AM
I'm travelling to B'mouth to play the GBPT festival next week and need to book a hotel. From google mapping it seems the Metro Palace Court Hotel and the Westover Garden Hotel are the two cloeset. Do any blondes have a reccomendation for a hotel in B'mouth or know anything about the two i've mentioned. Any help much appreciated.

NLHE:

HU, on the turn Player A is in the lead,  But he can at best only split the pot on the river. Name the hands of player a and player b.
2114  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Blonde WSOP Meet up? on: June 06, 2007, 04:40:19 PM
I'm game. I shall be out there from the 26th to the 6th - longer if I manage to qualify for the Main Event. I may be playing the media crapshoot at some point of the 5th, but it would be good to have a blonde get together. Tilted Kilt perhaps?
2115  Poker Forums / The Rail / Tilted Kilt: The Rio on: June 06, 2007, 11:37:34 AM
If you've ever been there you'll know it's proably the best place to drink in The Rio during the WSOP. Someone (can't remember) posted on THM that it had closed, that was a sad day. But... from reading Pauly's blog, it'd alive and well.
