i would have passed
wait for a better spot to try and double up
you have less than 5 rounds left at the table , but time to pick up a decent hand to go with.
why risk your chance of winning a seat at the WSOP being fancy with 96 offsuit ?
I wondered if I was a bit rash but was pretty sure it'd get through, if I have more/fewer chips I pass; if he has more/fewer chips I pass; and if I knew he was going to make a crazy call obviously I'd pass. Only hands I could see him playing like that were AA KK and possibly QQ, weaker holdings that he wasn't going to pass he'd have surely pushed preflop (well that was my thinking anyway). As for a better spot it may or may not have come, I'm happier here trying to increase my stack by >30% without a showdown than having to call for all my chips a few rounds later with JJ, TT, AK etc and possibly end up in a multiway pot (as happened to others). I don't want all my chips in the middle on a coinflip or a 60/40 at this stage (I know thats what happened but wasn't the plan lol), I want to pick up chips uncontested.
