Just realised these are the pool odds, not the actual bookie's odds.

Wow, what a run she had. She came out with the bunch but was a little slow into stride. Managed to keep toe to toe with the 1 dog to the bend but was a little too polite and ended up with the 5 dogs arse in her face, she turned last and I was just watching to see how she reacted. Was amazing tbh, off the second bend she found the rails and showed great middle pace, 4th going round the last and stayed on to lose by 1 3/4.
If she is drawn Trap 1 tonight I think she could have won. She stayed on very well, just needs to be a bit less of a lady at the bend
All in all, v pleased. Knocked her into 5/2 joint, thought she was actually 9/4 tbh but went off 5/2JF. She opened
.
BTW... Her are her stats for race :
3 Rookies Hawk 2 5/2JF 3.97 27.88 (1 3/4)
(Season: ) bk b Westmead Hawk-Droopys Star Mar-2007 (Trainer: M A Peterson)

OMG - i know it's not a win - but bloody hell am i proud of our little girl. She kicked severe ass in the last two bends. Bless her - she just needs to stop being so polite at the first bend.
edit: Ling again - he's even logged in on my lappie!

That's what you get by exposing her to Kev's charm, it rubs off.
wp Rooks, don't forget to tell us when she's out again.

pleased as punch. she ran a cracker.
a bit of synchronised betting on her before the race as kev, rooks and myself approached all 3 bookies at the same time. at precisely the same time we asked for the 4/1 for the wad of cash we each had in our hands instantly cutting her price from 4/1 to 2/1 she drifted near the off to go off 5/2jf
as rooks said the first bend was her nemesis again, not showing enough to get in front of 1 at the turn she was forced to check and tiptoes round the first 2 bends to find herself in 6th place coming off the bend and approx 8 lengths of the 3 dog that was setting the pace.
she fairly flew downthe far side passing trap1 and trap 6 in the process, again she run the last 2 bends a little tentatively before overtaking the 5 dog off the last bend railling well and closing the gap on traps 3 and 4 to roughly 2 lengths at the line.
she never looked like winning after the first bend as she had far to much to do but really showed she will soon be leaving this grade behind and looks like she will stay alot further in time as well.
other than winning i dont think she could have done anymore, a clear run and she wins the race imo, she desperatly wants the red jacket and maybe wearing that 2nite would have won.
as she parade in front of the stand prior to the race we all stayed fairly quiet, we didnt want to get her to excited or spook her but she actually picked us out in the crowd, it was a great feeling she looked so pleased with herself as if she knew what was about to happen.
i had goosebumps before during and after the race!
you done us proud cassie onwards and upwards!
