Girl On Girl Action!

Not just posted for the tittilation, this was a key pot between Annette Obrestad and Team Pokerstars sponsored Vanessa Rousso...

I joined the hand on the flop of a T-3-3 board.

Annette had bet out 2,600  from late position, flatted by the small blind and check raised by Vanessa Rousso from the small blind to 6,000.

Annette went deep into thought before picking up her entire stack and pushing it over the line, approximately 30k more! Wow!

The small blind somehow managed to tank for a minute before passing and Rousso insta-called!

With a $55,000 pot brewing, they flipped their cards.

Vanessa had 3-2 for trip threes, while Annette showed down 3-6 for better trips, though a split was by far the most likely outcome.

The turn came a DEUCE! Sick card, putting Rousso in the lead.

Here was Annette's reaction.

Needing to now spike a 6 or T to salvage the pot, neither arrived on the blank turn and river, meaning Vanessa Rousso moves up into what is likely to be the chip lead, whilst Annette looked forlorn and crippled, down to a few thousand chips. Rousso delivered what sounded like a sincere apology to Annette but I don't think the Norwegian could hear it as she stacked up her remaining handful of chips in her sealed world of pain and misery.

Horrible luck for the Norwegian, who would have been a massive danger if she could have won that crucial pot. As it is though, it's Rousso who now holds a dominant stack.

My reaction upon waking up to this:

I think ur tournament clock is off.  PN reports them at being at the 1500/3k level, which given the avg stack size would make a lot more sense.

I was a little confused too but I think it might have somehting to do w/ "here comes the money."

...I don't think it's nerdy that I know that

Quite honestly I thought there would be one person and one person only to know that - Snoopy.  You can literally type anything into google image search and get results.  This proves that point nicely.  Congratulations on your astoundingly geeky trivia knowledge.

I was gunna post a picture of someone bowing or something to accept this gracious praise, but I really couldn't find any pics to my liking so ull just have to take my word on it.  I knew watching pro wrestling would help me with random trivia questions someday.  That day is today.

Yes, def don't tell him it was me.  If I can get myself out of paying $10 that would be sweet.

Any chance u guys can gather some upates on the 2k side event today?

Also, I think Mercier would make a terrible architecht.  While his pyramid is nice to look at, it has no structure to it.  It's just one level up as opposed to having the solid foundation it needs to stand.  It's like the slightest gust of wind and he's got like 300 chips to restack and make sure none of his opponents hoodwink him.  IS IT WORTH IT, JASON?

With that said, I'll send any of u $10 on Pokerstars if u knock it over and take pics.

There are a lot of tables in the middle of the room which I thought were cash tables but might be worth a second look.  Not to knock cardplayer's info which is probably correct but you never know...

PS Your $10 up for knocking over the Mercier tower has been recorded by SikTilt for posterity Smiley

Annette told me 2 days ago the 2k euro event was Friday, but then again she thought she was playing day 1b and ended up on 1a, so who knows if she has a clue what shes talking about?

I would like to see this video.  Is it sad that I already know Rury's Stars name?

Sad Oh well.  Annette told me the other day she had a horoscope that said something like, "Something good will happen to u in September that u never thought would happen again."  Thats scary.

Hey guys!  Looking forward to the new season of the EPT, so I can start hounding u guys every few weeks to say hi to Annette for me.  So, u know what to do when u get the chance to see my favorite Norwegian poker playing pixie.  Also, dunno if he's playing today but if u could check on Chris Moorman, that would be cool too.  Thx!

And I hate u Dana for tempting me while I'm hungry.  Sushi is my favorite food Sad

Edit: Also are they using new chips on the EPT this year or just for Barcelona?

Hey guys.  Table 26, seat 4, got about 10,100.  Was down to 1200 chips in level 1 after getting my AA cracked but have grinded it back.  Come say hi.

Wow! First one of the favourites in Negreanu falls, now Annette Obrestad has also bitten the dust...

Again, it happened so fast we have few details but she was heard saying "I lost a 40-60 after having a bad day..."

Sigh.  Oh well, at least I enjoyed the dancing bears.  Guess I'll be seeing you guys in Copenhagen.
