Jeez!

Doubt I've ever seen a better collection of photos in one place.

Well worth a look if anyone has 15 minutes to spare.

Thanks Waz.

Got a new 7D for my Birthday.   I giggle with excitement when I pick it up and use it, what an upgrade from my 400!   Will post some soon but in the mean time, here's a couple from a trip to Paulton's Park today, the rest are on my photo site.

These are massively cropped, I was a fair distance away but only had a 70mm zoom, they're about a quarter of the original, if not smaller!  The 400 would never do that for me.  Can't wait to take some more, what a camera Smiley

Nice one Graham, I know what you mean about the camera.
I bought my daughter a 5dm2k2 for her university course last year and had the pleasure of using it through the summer holidays.
Until you get to use one you really can not believe the difference and the shear size of the images, since she has been at uni I have not taken a photo (apart from a few on my phone).
Anyway, she is back from Uni next month so I have use of it again for a few months Smiley

I would love to own a dslr but I love the portability of my micro four thirds. The results I get are v good (and will continue to improve as I get better with it) I think but I get a significant 'crop factor' vs a dslr, plus I think the bokeh is not as pronounced wide open Etc. if money was no object I'd defo get a good spec dslr also and would keep my four thirds.

You get crop factors on most DSLR's too, unless you go full frame (quite expensive obviously) you'll always have a crop.   The crop frame is pretty handy, if you are into sports, wildlife or anything else that uses a zoom, then you get an extra 1.6 (in Canon's case) so a 100mm lens is in effect a 160mm lens.    Unless you need ultra wide shots, you're not going to be inconvenienced by the cropping and even then 99% of people can work around/with it.

Anyone seen the new look Flikr?  Uproar on their forums about it.  Have to say I quite like it.  I'm currently thinking of moving from Pbase to something else and am tempted by Flikr now, it's pretty snazzy.

Edit, I think Flikr has crashed Cheesy

The free 1TB storage on the re-vamped Flickr caught my attention...

Yeah, that's a lot.  Apparently there's an upload limit per month which could be painful but I'm not uploading massive files of my photos.  I don't even mind the ads in the free version, it took me ages to spot one.  Hopefully they won't increase too much but if I get too into it and they do increase the ads, I'll fork out for the ad-free version.  Funnily enough I nearly joined yesterday, could have got it half price if I had.

Well, I've decided that my current lens set up isn't ideal so I thought I'd get the Canon 70-200L f4 IS.  I also have a Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 which is great but 24mm isn't wide enough and 70mm isn't quite long enough so I'm going to sell that and get the Canon 15-85mm IS lens.  Hopefully I'll get most of the money for that from the Sigma sale though otherwise it's really worry about the credit card time Cheesy  Decided to do it soon as I'm off to the States in a couple of weeks and want a good lens combo.
