just got a text message on my mobile, received from the web.  It is from +20122000020.  upon opening there is a heading of 'Service Message'.  The body of the message says Hi there :-) and then there is a link to a url.  Haven't clicked the link yet as I'm a bit suspicious - does anyone know anything about this kind of thing?

I get a similar thing called push messages every so often saying either "hi long time no speak" followed by a link or ur standard XXX nonsense followed by a link? anyone actually tell me what a push message is and how they send them?

there are websites which allow you to send free messages but anyone with half a brain would put their name on a text from there. i wouldn't be clicking on the link, could easily be dodgy.

It's spam.  Delete.

It's someone you don't know asking you to spend your money doing something they want you to do.
