The draw has IMO thrown up a real opportunity

This is because the draw has been worked out all the way to the final

and one "half" is far weaker than the other

ie Arsenal/Juventus play the winner of Inter/Ajax/Villareal

in the other half AC have to play Lyon (very tough) and the winner of that gets Barca/Benfica...far far tougher half of the draw

Lets look at the prices

6/4 Barca
4/1 Juve
6/1 AC
7/1 Inter
15/2 Lyon
10/1 Arsenal
16/1 Villareal
25/1 Benfica
66/1 Ajax

To my mind the winners of the Juve/Arsenal tie are an outstanding bet. Clearly Arsenal are the value but I fancy Juve strongly, I'll probably have a saver on Arsenal e/w.

In the other half I can make a case for AC or Lyon at those odds...Barca are prohibitively priced to me

I took Arsenal at 17.5 a wee while back Smiley

Out of the others, you'd have to go for AC,  they were great midweek when they polished of Bayern.

edit: it was Bayern wasn't it?

tightend, i think you are quite right. Our half of the draw is slightly easier than the other half.

although juve are running away with thev italian league, currently 10 points clear, i would rather play them than AC Milan.

Im glad we avoided the attacking sides like AC, Barca and Lyon and got a team in juve, and possibly inter if they get through, who are more defensivley minded.

Arsenal are currently 11s on hills after the draw which i think is a good price. Last time we played Juve we beat them 3-1 at home but lost 1-0 away. I know this was in the group stages and it will be different in the knockout games but it proves we have nothing to fear. Also last time we played inter we battered them 5-1 in the san siro so i believe we have a chance.

Now all i need is a couple of days off work around the 17th of May.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS

but Mr Sis its a huge ask of them to beat Lyon (good side) and Barcelona (good side) and then the final isn't it?

6/1 looks skinny with that route to the final IMO compared to Juve's route

I backed Lyon e/w at 25/1 for a a couple of bob early doors!

In my heart I would love to see Barca win at so King of Kings, Magnificent 7 etc gets a Champions League medal!

I can't see Juve winning it they are far too inconsistent IMO.

Been impressed with what ive seen from Lyon, shame that they got a tough draw but i still gotta sneaky suspicion they might make the final.
