Been through all the options in my mind and it is pretty confusing spot. AK/ KQ with no hearts makes some sense.  Does the nut flush ever check the turn hoping you are drawing to something and can get there?  I doubt it....if anything I think it looks more like he had the nut flush draw and missed. I call now.

Thinking about this some more I think he has us beat a fairly significant amount of the time and there are other hands he could play like this I suppose including sets and, in particular,  a rivered set of queens.  Still think he bets his missed nut flush draw a fair bit if he is any good although check raising it is pretty strong.  On balance maybe it is a fold as he needs effective air 30%+ to make a call profitable and I am not sure it is that high.

Call for information.  In a vacuum its prob close so you might as well call and see what hes doing it with.
If hes bluffing then you know he knows your turn check means your range is capped so hes a thinking player, if he has bare ace hearts then he was prob going to check jam the turn, if hes jamming two pair then you know hes capable of checkraising thin for value etc etc.
Lot of benefit to getting to showdown early on in a HU match to develop reads and give your oppponent the impression you can't be bluffed.

Oh yeah and if you ever want to be bluffing this turn you should really be betting KJ on the turn for value.
When you bet river did you think what you would do if he raised you before you put the river bet in?

tbh i didn't i thought the chances of him shoving were really small. but I still have to bet the river don't I?

He showed up with  so was a nice thin value shove.

I think it's a bad check for your range as Keith says you've capped yourself to basically bluff catchers/marginal value
