need to buy three kids Christmas presants expensive at 11 10 and 7 they all want a laptop
no way can i pay £300 odd each ...but seen these on e bay are they any good? seem too cheap is it a con??
can they do same as normal laptop but with out the drivers?and smaller !

They run Windows CE, not Windows. They won't be able to run normal Windows software. They have virtually no storage space. It's a glorified PDA.

It's an operating system that's effectively designed for calculators, not laptops.

Can you stretch to £180 each? Argos have a number of refurb 10.1" netbooks with 12 months warranty that would be a much better bet. Personally I'd tell the 7yo they are too young for their own laptop.

No laptops in this house until they hit 13...and only if we can afford it.  Which is why only the 18 year old has one.  Seriously, if they need one for school work - get just one decent one for the lot of them to share.  But one for each kid?!  Not a hope.

thanks for the help kind sir,
 i could just get the eldest one which was first thought, then i saw the ones for £80 and thought would get all three.
i agree 7 year old too young for his own anyway.
which out of the ones on that page is better ?

that was only cos found the cheap things my problem is and always was is £300 on one laptop is too dear but£80 each is ok

He didn't.  Was just giving him an excuse to get him out of the mess.  There's no way 3 lappys will be got (not even in decent used condition) for £80 each.
