(non zebra) Post by: Dewi_cool on May 23, 2006, 06:51:41 PM cannnot believe that Ferguson believes that Owen is better than RVN to offer a cash sum as well, other way around maybe, also do you seriously think RVN would go to Newcastle when he could have a pick of clubs imo

Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (non zebra) Post by: Nem on May 23, 2006, 07:46:17 PM I don't think this will happen I do. Do you honestly think Owen wants to play for Newcastle? Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (non zebra) Post by: The Baron on May 23, 2006, 07:48:52 PM Newcastle have been looking to replace Shearer for years - they wont let Owen go for a 30 year old Nistlerooy who doesn't want to go to Newcastle either.

Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (non zebra) Post by: Nem on May 23, 2006, 07:51:40 PM Believe me, Owen wants to leave Newcastle. If he wants to go, there is nothing to stop him leaving.
Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (non zebra) Post by: Rooky9 on May 23, 2006, 08:00:12 PM I don't think he wants to go... which is completely different from wishing he was at a club that is playing CL and in with a chance of winning things.
There is no way that he can be allowed to leave for less than £16m and I just don't think anyone can or will pay that... unless he has an unbelievable world cup. I also think that the influence of Shearer may play a part in helping keep him with us.... Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (very unlikely in future) No UEFA Cup football. Glen Roeder is manager (rotflmfao) Alan Shearer has retired Mido is your No1 transfer target (Spurs reject) Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? I have never seen a manager love a player as much as Jol with Mido and I certainly don't think he is not with TOttenham because they didnt fancy him... (plus that is the first time in the close season I have heard that link... I think Kuyt is more likely) A.Shearer will undoubtably be the manager well within Owen's playing career. Roder had the best english managers record last year and Owen is alway harping on about english managers (weak point but shhhh) UEFA cup football is a possibility for next season CL is unlikely... but not very unlikely - again as the form of the second half of the season has shown we would have been comfortable up there with a decent first half. I am completely bias so yes of course I would... I would turn down playing for EVERY other club in the world to play for them. Being idolised is a far greater acolade than any trophy. He did however so no loyalty to the club by shirking the last game at least, which was of utmost importance. A certain other player would undoubtably have been playing at the same level of injury... but i suppose that is the extra 20% that we will never be able to replace. Also when did Shearer ever play with a broken foot? I spose he used to slay dragons too? Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? (non zebra) Post by: Nakor on May 23, 2006, 08:32:26 PM Can you bet on potential Transfer's on Betfair ?
Lets just say I would be putting my Money on Ashton wearing Black and White next year. Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? Even if he did he didnt sign on loan anyway! Owen didnt have a broken foot at the time which is the whole point. the quotes at the england cap that he has been fit for weeks were the worrying ones... I hope Skippy you are right for West Hams sake - but the talk of his former residance is that there has been a falling out. Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? Rooky this was everywhere - even the Sky Sports website quoted it. I'll be money that Owen doesn't ever sign a new contract with Newcastle. Also Owen played half his Liverpool career with injuries. Maybe he just doesn't care enough? I would never question his professionalism/passion to play though. Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? [/quote] That is an Oxymoron! if he doesnt care and wont play that is highly unprofessional towards the club that pays your wages! I have no doubt it is because he values his england career above his club career - hence my initial point that we have lost 20% from the commitment you can only really get from someone who has an emotional connection with a club. And sky quoted it from a written source. my point is that he denied that he had said that. Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle? Surely your point was similar? He does want to play for you but yet he doesn't?! lol! Oxymoron methinks! ;goodvevil; Title: Re: Ruud Van Nistlerooy going to Newcastle?
