Rooky this was everywhere - even the Sky Sports website quoted it. I'll be money that Owen doesn't ever sign a new contract with Newcastle.

Also Owen played half his Liverpool career with injuries. Maybe he just doesn't care enough? I would never question his professionalism/passion to play though.

That is an Oxymoron! if he doesnt care and wont play that is highly unprofessional towards the club that pays your wages! I have no doubt it is because he values his england career above his club career - hence my initial point that we have lost 20% from the commitment you can only really get from someone who has an emotional connection with a club.
