Title: I have some questions Post by: Sark79 on June 26, 2006, 01:15:03 AM These questions have been bothering me all day today. I wonder if anyone can answer them for me.
1. Why does Rod Stewart wear a kilt? He is English. I did consider the fact that Scottish males are considered more manly than other nations in the British Isles ( Some foreign nations think Scottish people are rough and tough thugs that eat haggis and wear kilts :D ). He seems to always have an attractive wife. Could he be using his fake Scottishness as a way to attract beautiful partners?. However as he plays for the celebratory Scottish football team, his kilt wearing ways may just be a ploy to make people feel sorry for him when his team lose the match. 2. How would you class Steve Coogan ? Is he an actor, comedian or impressionist?. I am not a great fan of his work. 3. If England win the World Cup, will Theo Walcott receive a medal even though he hasn't played a game during the competition? 4. When a team loan a player to another club. How does this benefit the team that own the player?. Is this purely done to allow the player to gain experience? 5. Did you agree with Luis Figo's gamesmanship during tonight's match? 6. I remember this track from a few years back. In my memory it was a big hit, however some friends today said they had never heard of it. Has my mind created a false memory or is this a song anyone else can remember? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d2M-eJ6Dm8&search=interactive%20music Thanks Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: TightEnd on June 26, 2006, 01:19:57 AM 1. I am reminded of Mrs Merton's question to Mrs Paul Daniels Debbie McGee:
"What first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?" 2. All three. Alan Partridge was brilliant, film work very iffy. New comedy Saxondale shows promise. I'm a fan 3. Yes 4. Experience, getting a player back to fitness, temporarily reduce wa\ge bill, put player in shop window priot to sale. All reasons 5. No, but he'll be banned anyway. 6. Welcome back to blonde Sark. I've missed you today.. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: bolt pp on June 26, 2006, 01:22:19 AM 1)rod stewart is neither english or scottish, he's just a mug.

Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Nem on June 26, 2006, 01:29:06 AM 1) He has £200million in the bank, "hung like a horse and goes like a train" former Miss World.
2) Jack of all trades, master of none! 3) Yes 4) The team loaning the player pay a % of the loaned players wages and to gain some 1st team experience 5) No, but the ref was great! 6) What a load of shit (but the girl at the beginning is cute!) Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: bolt pp on June 26, 2006, 01:31:05 AM 2) Jack of all trades, master of none did you watch the day today? Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Sark79 on June 26, 2006, 01:31:10 AM I don't like the song either, but when I woke up this morning it was swirling around in my mind. I thought at first, I had been visited by a demon during the night and had been changed into a club raver. You Tube helped me see that in fact it was a memory that must have been stored in my unconscious mind. It is like "Saturday Night " by Whigfield, I hated that song as well. Unfortunately it is etched into my mind due to a Spanish holiday I took in 1994. It was played over and over and over again.
Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Nem on June 26, 2006, 01:32:30 AM "Saturday Night " by Whigfield, I had such a crush on her, back in the day... ;tk; did you watch the day today? No, what is the day? Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: I, Zimbra on June 26, 2006, 01:33:30 AM Coogan was an impressionist (Spitting Image), a comedian (Paul Calf was his stand up act) and is an actor (err... Around the World in Eighty Days... ?)
So yes, all of the above. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: bolt pp on June 26, 2006, 01:34:38 AM I don't like the song either, but when I woke up this morning it was swirling around in my mind. Has my mind created a false memory or is this a song anyone else can remember? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3d2M-eJ6Dm8&search=interactive%20music Thanks This song has been covered recently and featured in the oc season 3 . Think it was by the youth group well worth a download. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: RED-DOG on June 26, 2006, 01:38:11 AM This tune is driving me mad, I can't place it.

He has a few decent songs doesn't he? Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Nem on June 26, 2006, 01:47:13 AM Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Graham C on June 26, 2006, 01:48:25 AM This tune is driving me mad, I can't place it. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Sark79 on June 26, 2006, 01:49:04 AM "Maggie May" isn't bad. He was in a group with the Rolling Stones guitar player I think.
Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: KeithyB on June 26, 2006, 01:50:44 AM This tune is driving me mad, I can't place it. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: TightEnd on June 26, 2006, 01:51:30 AM Ronnie Wood. The Faces.
Stewart has grown on me, song wise, as I have reached middle age. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: RED-DOG on June 26, 2006, 01:53:01 AM This tune is driving me mad, I can't place it. I think the words are, "And when I'm a man, my plan, will be to marry you" (circa 1938) Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Sark79 on June 26, 2006, 01:56:41 AM Ronnie Wood. The Faces. Stewart has grown on me, song wise, as I have reached middle age. That's the guy. He is a good guitarist. Forty Licks is a great album There are worse around than Rod Stewart. Singers that I hated a few years ago, I can listen to now without wanting to cover my ears. Rod Stewart, Michael Jackson and Elton John are better now than they were when I was a kid. I still can't stand David Bowie though Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: RED-DOG on June 26, 2006, 01:57:44 AM I thought Rod's guitarist was Denny Lane
Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: KeithyB on June 26, 2006, 01:59:53 AM "Maggie May" isn't bad. He was in a group with the Rolling Stones guitar player I think. In the Faces who had Ronnie Wood in their lineup. I think Rod had a lot of good songs between early 70's to mid 80's ......Maggie May, I don't want to talk about it, killing of georgie, you're in my heart, baby jane........to name a few I can't stand Sailing though!! Plus Do ya think I'm sexy is a bit cringeworthy really...."of it's time" is the kindest description I'd say! He's also had huge success recently with the American songbook series but that sort of style isn't my cup of tea at all. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: Sark79 on June 26, 2006, 02:01:29 AM "Maggie May" isn't bad. He was in a group with the Rolling Stones guitar player I think. ......Maggie May, I don't want to talk about it, Why don't you want to talk about it? EDIT This is a song title :D. Sorry my mistake Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: KeithyB on June 26, 2006, 02:04:01 AM I thought Rod's guitarist was Denny Lane He was in Wings.......third one in Mull of Kintyre video after Paul & Linda strolling amongst the sheep and pipers!! ;D Think he may also have been in Moody Blues in the sixties too. Title: Re: I have some questions Post by: KeithyB on June 26, 2006, 02:05:54 AM because it still upsets me to this day! Lovely girl...but a heartbreaker of young boys! rotflmfao
