Title: Pub Crawl Post by: North Angel on August 13, 2005, 10:20:30 AM We are looking to have a pub crawl, but want suggestions on the best places to go.
This of course will be in aid of charity and not an excuse to get bladdered, cos we wouldn't want to show the lads up. ::) Also this is open to anyone who doesnt mind wearing a Game For Life polo shirt and shaking a collection tin. Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: happy_steve on August 13, 2005, 10:23:01 AM Like you need an excuse Ang!! Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: North Angel on August 13, 2005, 10:43:16 AM Steve that is why i'm asking ...lol I know Newcastle would be great for a pub crawl but would need it to be central for most people.

Bank Holiday weekend £300+1 rebuy/add on No Limit it's a 2 day Tourney. Just a thought
Regards M Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: Robert HM on August 17, 2005, 08:49:13 PM Errr that's the same weekend as the Poker4Charity/Game for Life's North East Charity Shield, so it may defeat the purpose.

My local is Preston - it's just full of bloody students tho! BUT plenty of pubs! Sadly there is 1 lapdancing club, but no wheelchair access <<< DON'T ask me how i know! I keep thinking about Southport, but only been there once and was in no fit state to remember it! lol Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: TheJagster on August 17, 2005, 10:05:45 PM Blackpool sounds good here!
Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: Robert HM on August 17, 2005, 10:07:29 PM My nearest is Croydon, south London. Not exactly central, jumping night life though, lots of licenced premises and some really quite serious stabbings on a busy night.

I think somewhere in the middle like Bolton or Manchester would be fairest ;) Blackpool would also be good as we could organise some sort of charity sitngos at the grosvenor.
Title: Re: Pub Crawl Post by: TightEnd on August 18, 2005, 03:32:16 PM OK, then what about Birmingham. I'm sure there is someone who lives there with a big apartment with it's own internet poker room, gym and jacuzzi who could put us up?

Not as bad as it sounds, the Clockwork Orange is the nickname for the underground (orange trains) & the challenge is a drink at the nearest pub to all the stations (16? I think). Then there's a wheelchair friendly lapdancing, a Poker Club (Cincinattis), and the Riverboat & Stanley casinos.
