Title: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: ifm on July 23, 2006, 07:04:37 PM just spotted this, if you are a monthly contractor with orange you can get free BB with Orange through Wannadoo.
Does anyone have Wannadoo? Is it any good? They offer 2meg max where i am, it means a downgrade but i never noticed the upgrade from 2meg before!! Any info greatly appreciated. Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: bigalhx1 on July 23, 2006, 07:16:04 PM yes i am on it its fine no probs

I've been told that the customer service is atrocious and you'll have to sign a 18 month contract. Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: Nem on July 23, 2006, 07:37:04 PM Virgin are merging with NTL. So you'll be able to get Mobile phone + House phone + Broadband and Digital TV all under one company for between £50-£80 a month.

Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: I, Zimbra on July 23, 2006, 09:50:25 PM I was with Wanadoo and moved away just before they became Orange, because it was cheaper to migrate than to upgrade to 2M+.
However, while I was with them I had zero disconnection issues. Am with F2S at the moment, which gives me 4M or so broadband, but there are a few disconnection problems that I'd rather not have, fortunately it's a short contract and I can re-evaluate my situation in a month or so. Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: M3boy on July 24, 2006, 01:13:59 AM BEWARE - check the monthly useage levels on these "free" or "cheap" broadband services.
You really want an unlimited service,,, I believe sky broadband (upto 8meg) is unlimited for £10 p/m - but sadly not in my area yet :( I know that Orange's free broadband has a 2mb limit - and thats a month!!! - so 2 films and ur screwed! Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: Eck on July 24, 2006, 12:10:25 PM Nobody has Sky yet as it is just open for registration. First Installs will done August I believe.
Details here: http://broadband.sky.com/flash.htm Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: I, Zimbra on July 24, 2006, 07:16:31 PM Pricing looks good if you already have Sky.
Only thing is, being untried and untested, I'd want to see if there's a disconnection problem before signing up for 12 months. ;goodvevil; Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Do Orange give you a free 3G/GPRS card? you have to have a £30 per month mobile contract. no i didnt get a free card thingy. the modem they give you is quite cool though. its i livebox? aparently you can connect upto 2 pcs and 6 wireless connections to it. to be honest i have no idea if this is good or not but it impressed me lol. i know nothing about all the technical shit i just know how to turn my computer and play poker lol Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: Maddog on August 30, 2006, 10:21:31 AM It's not common knowledge but a lot of ISP's can't actually restrict the amount you download even if they say they can. It's just a ruse to get people to cough up more dough.
I suggest you try out the free services and see whether or not you get restricted. ;) Title: Re: Free broadband with Orange? Post by: Triple X on August 30, 2006, 09:51:17 PM these guys live off our lethargy and not chopping and changing
