just spotted this, if you are a monthly contractor with orange you can get free BB with Orange through Wannadoo.
Does anyone have Wannadoo?
Is it any good?
They offer 2meg max where i am, it means a downgrade but i never noticed the upgrade from 2meg before!!
Any info greatly appreciated.

Interesting, while were on the subject of free broadband does anyone have any experience of Talktalk, which seems on the face of it like a very good deal!

I've been told that the customer service is atrocious and you'll have to sign a 18 month contract.

Virgin are merging with NTL. So you'll be able to get Mobile phone + House phone + Broadband and Digital TV all under one company for between £50-£80 a month.

I was with Wanadoo and moved away just before they became Orange, because it was cheaper to migrate than to upgrade to 2M+.

However, while I was with them I had zero disconnection issues.

Am with F2S at the moment, which gives me 4M or so broadband, but there are a few disconnection problems that I'd rather not have, fortunately it's a short contract and I can re-evaluate my situation in a month or so.

BEWARE - check the monthly useage levels on these "free" or "cheap" broadband services.

You really want an unlimited service,,, I believe sky broadband (upto 8meg) is unlimited for £10 p/m - but sadly not in my area yet Sad

I know that Orange's free broadband has a 2mb limit - and thats a month!!! - so 2 films and ur screwed!

Pricing looks good if you already have Sky.

Only thing is, being untried and untested, I'd want to see if there's a disconnection problem before signing up for 12 months.
