I could get in a drunken mess one day in a conversation and promise someone half my winnings in the WSOP. Am I likely to get sued for it? If someone is sneeky and records it, I could be in trouble.
Obviously I'm not accusing Mr Gold of being drunk - just a devious git that wanted to play in the WSOP for free (joking, only joking). I obviously don't know the whole story. I do feel a bit sorry for him though. Money attracts hangers on and it seems all too easy to sue people if they have a lot of cash.
