Title: Newcastle Hotels Post by: roverthtaeh on November 06, 2006, 04:25:52 PM Can anyone help me with regard to Hotels near the Aspers Casino in Newcastle please?
Walking distance would be great, not looking for anything special, just a bed! Thank you. Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: Suited_Jock on November 06, 2006, 04:34:10 PM I dunno how to say this without being cheeky so i'll just go ahead and spit it out: google is great for stuff like this

2 miles from city centre dozens of decent b+b s from £30 pn. Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: RioRodent on November 06, 2006, 06:27:29 PM It seems a lot of places won't take bookings for just one night at the weekend.
We've settled on the Premier Travel Inn at the airport... a few miles out but cheap and they're usually OK. Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: Eyeofsauron on November 06, 2006, 08:19:24 PM Same here, I've made a reservation at the airport.
Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: roverthtaeh on November 06, 2006, 08:27:22 PM Thank you very much for the help, much appreciated.

Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: lazaroonie on November 06, 2006, 09:54:41 PM osborne rd jesmond 2 miles from city centre dozens of decent b+b s from £30 pn. can second that idea - I once stayed at the osborne hotel - about 40 quid for a single en-suite room. Late bar, more than decent. Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: FlyingPig on November 06, 2006, 10:35:55 PM Just got a room..... Boy are they hard to get......Either really exspensive for near ones.. then the closer ones will only take a booking for 2 nights.....
Got a BB 4 miles away £132 for 2 nights between 2 of us... 66 quid each... I am happy with that... Best of luck with the rooms! Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: portfolio on November 07, 2006, 04:00:44 PM by the way it isn't that bad... the new Jesmond ::) in your DREAMS maybe. factually, was actually the OLD jesmond, being a shorter walk/carriage ride to the tyne where all the heavy industry was. fenham is ok,but definately not ideal for walking around with ur poker stash.deffo use BLACK cabs. Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: RioRodent on November 08, 2006, 06:50:42 PM I found this link to a list of hotels on the University website...

Title: Re: Newcastle Hotels Post by: tikay on November 13, 2006, 08:58:06 PM For those of you that stay overnight in Newcastle, & don't need to go to Church on the Sunday morning, I can highly recommend the walk along the Canal Towpath. They have paved it beautifully, youi go under 6 or 7 awesome bridges, there are pubs with terraced bars, and they have one of those swingy bridge things - Millenium Bridge, I think- which sort of rotates. Great fun, and a lovely walk, truly.
