Its easier for me to pick the winner of the DORTMUND EPT event,

it will be none other than Mr GARY HARRINGTON, from Falmouth Cornwall,

won his place, by winning the Cornwallpoker Champions league, (winning free seat) into Ladbrokes Leotop event, then winning that.

very good player locally, but this will be by far his biggest event.

There was a slight delay, but now Thomas Kremser has been told Jen and I are settled, it looks like they may be ready to start.

Dropping like flies here.

Michael Frandsen, John Perrson, David Berggren and Norseman, Torstein Iversen have all bitten the dust early doors.

Unless he's hiding under the table, it also appears as though we have lost Tyrone Kerrigan.

Daniel Philips has around 10k.

He's been gettin plenty of hands though....

First he took the blinds with Ace King, then his Kings were outdrawn all-in by Peter Jepsen's A-K, before finally taking the blinds yet again with Pocket Queens.

Kim Hemmingsen has just doubled up off TJ Cloutier, although the latter is still on 30k.

A classic coinflip situation, Queens v Ace King with a 3d 6c Td Js 4d board.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 2 - Interactive
Post by: snoopy1239 on January 19, 2007, 01:50:59 PM

Meanwhile, on the same table, Welshman Iwan Jones ran his Jacks into Queens and King. Fortunately, he made the first raise and was able to get away once WPT Grand finalist, Claus Nielsen, had, made the third raise.

A harmless board resulted in the exit of Kim Hemmingsen.

Still lots happening, even John 'PunkFloyd' Conroy getting in on the act, re-raising his neighbour's 1.5k bet on a 2h Ahrt 2c Jh board to 4.8k to take down the pot.

Daniel Philips Doubles Up:

I hear 'Living on the Edge' play in my head watching him fold his big blind to small blind Simon Mycock, as his 15k at start of day has dwindled to just 6,000... But wait - action on that table, which has a line-up like so:

Pernille Ravn
Simon Mycock
Daniel 'Kinboshi' Philips
Steven Heard
Atle Walgren
Peter Jepsen
Anders Berg
Donny Morris

Under the gun Atle Walgren makes it 2,500 to go (blinds 400/800).  Fold round to Daniel, who decides that now is the time - all in for around 5k.  Then big blind Steven Heard comes over the top, all in for 20k, which is too much for Atle.
"Lucky Sevens..." says Steven, showing 7c 7d
"Unlucky Sevens..." says Steven, as Daniel flips Jc Jh.
Board (you're getting this detail because I actually saw it first hand, not because it's actually relevant):  Qs 3s 2h Qd Td

And a double up for Kinboshi from those slightly overconfident Sevens.

nick slade just text me he got 40k

Nick found Queens under the gun and raised to 2.5k.

'The Mad Scandie who knocked me out in Baden', aka Karsten Schou, made the call from late position.

Flop = 9d Tc 3d

Slade pushes all-in for his last 12 or so thousand, onlt for Schou to call with Qd Jd.

No flush or straight and Slade's Ladies hold up.

Another scoop for P.I. Slade  ;hattip;  ;snoopy'sguns;

Harrison Williams, who looks remarkably like his namesake, David Williams, has eliminated Frenchman Bernard Boutboul with Aces.

As the Frenchman walked away from the table, he couldn't help comment, "Bad play, bad play, very very bad play."

Peter Eichhardt, who finalled in Baden at the end of last year, is down to 25,900 after losing a 15-20k pot, Christoffer Sonesson betting him off the 7d 8c Js Kc board with a relatively small 5.4k bet.

Post by: snoopy1239 on January 19, 2007, 02:11:59 PM
Brent Wheeler may have become the first man to surpass the 100k mark after disposing of table neighbour, Peter Hardgrove Hansen.

Incredibly, the two managed to get it all-in with 7-9 and A-2 respectively (including pre-flop action) on a Flop of 3d Ks 5d.

9 of hearts Turn and 7 of hearts River means we have a new chip leader.

The current blind levels are 600 and 1,200 with a running ante of 100.

115 players remain in the comp.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 2 - Interactive
Post by: Djinn on January 19, 2007, 02:34:44 PM
The seven and eight-hand tables at the start have condensed as the elimination carnage continues - I would like a tracking device fitted to all players and linked to some central computer with their name and nationality details.  I think that would be particularly helpful at the WSOP.  Anyway, players finding themselves on less than around 12k are starting to make those desperate moves, and the shorter, the more desperate.  I think the gent who moved in with 6h 3h had just a couple of thousand, although I've never seen hope die in an expression as quickly as when he saw 6s 6d in his caller's hand.

The big stacks are playing a different game, however, and re-raising happens frequently when more than one of them graces a table, like this one:

Andreas Elofsson
Anders Wijk
Erlend Melsom
Alexander Stevic
Morten Jensen
Maarten Meijer
Bastian Landehagen

Just now Jensen has a go raising from the button, and chip monster Landehagen immediately re-raises 5k, getting rid of the button.  I heard the cutoff saying, "I looked down and found an Ace, and thought about it, but..."  It appears young Bastian has his table expecting pressure at every turn.  Good for him.

Post by: snoopy1239 on January 19, 2007, 02:37:48 PM
Atle Walgren, who started the day on 44,100, has improved slighty on that figure, adding 4.8k to his stack.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 2 - Interactive
Post by: snoopy1239 on January 19, 2007, 02:39:39 PM
Erlend Melsom is on an impressive 84,700, partially helped by the last pot he took of Torstein Iversen, Melsom betting 4.6k on an 8d-Ks-3h Flop.

Across the other side of the same table, is the current runner-up leader, Bastian Landehagen with 95,600.

Magnus Petersson (left) and Martin Wendt (not left).

And Johnny Lodden, who started the day with 20k and seemed to have under 9k when he just moved in over the top of a preflop raiser, picking up a few chips.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 2 - Interactive
Post by: snoopy1239 on January 19, 2007, 02:44:52 PM
Jan Richard Johannessen has just doubled up an opponent with Pocket Sevens versus Pocket Kings on a 2c Ad 8c Flop.

Paul Linton was also involved, helping to create a 10k pot, but he passed after the fist flop bet of 3k.

Johannessen then made it 7.5k, before Scandieboy made a brave all-in for an extra 9.3k more with Pocket Cowboys (it took some thought though).

Johannessen mumbled, "I think I've got to call" and did indeed shove in the extra spondoolies.

No seven arrived and Scandieboy doubled up.

My thoughts were that Johannessen made two mistakes here, first believing that he couldn't fold his Sevens for another 9.3k, and also failing to re-raise enough on the Flop, especially if he was going to call the all-in anyhow.

A couple of pictures of Pokerstars' Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier to illustrate his double takedown a minute ago - A short stack moved in, and Elky made it 14,000 to go (fig. A).  Then out of the blue, his neighbour to his immediate left (not going to name him as moire likely than not my reference sheet is no longer accurate) moves in too, for  slightly less than the preflop re-raise.  I am sure M. Grospellier wasn't thrilled about this, and turned Ac Qs...but it was a present of an Ahrt Js which greeted him from the secondary mover, and after all-in No.1 showed 9c 9h, the board came out Qc 7h 3s 8c 4h.  Elky took the pot (fig. Johnny Lodden is OUT after seeing his Pocket Sevens outdrawn by Ace Queen, an Ace hitting the River.

If anyone wants to distract Elky, tell him Starcraft 2 is allegedly being made.

I think that's why he wears the headphones.  He knows his own weaknesses, a very valuable trait in a poker player...

Bullets...my only weakness. How did you know?

Thomas Holm has a monset, and rather tricky to count stack, after busting Aces with Pocket Kings.

He almost folded though...

Flemming de Hoog raised it pre-flop, Holm re-raised, Hoog re-re-raised and, after a long spell in the think tank, Holm finally decided that he couldn't release them and went all-in.

A King on the Flop and a firm kick in the testicles later and de Hoog was OUT.

Nick Slade, who finds it hard to stay in his chair (fig. A) just took a big pot from chip leader Brent Wheeler.  Brent raised in the small blind to 3,500, and big blind Slade called with Ahrt Kh.
Flop:  6h 7h 8s  Brent bet out 5k, called by Nick.
Turn:  Jd  Brent checked, Nick put in 13k of his 30k remaining, and faced an all-in check raise from the huge stack.  He thought about it a bit, and decided this pot was now too big to let go, calling and finding Qc Qd against him.
River:  Ks

So Nick Slade finds his stack equal to that of Wheeler, 70+k each...

Tom McEvoy is also OUT - got it all in threeway against Sevens and Queens with AK, but no hit and the hopes of the Americans must now rest on the broad shoulders of TJ Cloutier.

Nick Slade has doubled up to around the 95k mark with Ace King suited versus chip leader Brent Wheeler's Pocket Queens.

And for once, it wasn't all-in pre-flop, instead, Nick flopping the nut flush draw and moving in on the Turn.

No heart arrived, but a black King hit to give Nick a monster pot.

Moments later, Wheeler tilted off 15k and is probably back down to around 55-75k.

Once again, P.I. Slade gets his man.  ;hattip;

Daniel 'Kinboshi' Philips is OUT -

Another pass round to small blind Simon Mycock.  Another push in from the stack which was more than four times that of Daniel's...but this time he beat Simon into the pot, making his stand with Ac Kc.  What did the s.b. bully have?  5h 7c.  That hand.
Flop:  9c 3h 6d
Turn:  Td
River:  7h  A handshake for a visibly disappointed Daniel Philips, whose first major tournament experience was nonetheless well played.

Double up for Kim Hemmingsen with Ahrt Ks, though (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, the old no pair top kickers hand).  It works better against Ad Qh, which is what button caller of Kim's cutoff push TJ Cloutier had.  Before the hands went over, TJ said, "Once again, you're in the lead."  Despite his read, the 23k pot moved to his right, however, although TJ's nowhere near the danger zone.

Slight problem here. Rhowena arrived to be told there were no more press badges (even though she had applied online). I lent my press badge to Rhowena so she could go in and take some snaps for our gallery whilst I typed up some posts, security didn't like this and revoked my badge, therefore meaning Jen is the only one who has access now.

Bit mean, but there you go.

That may be tricky because they know we only have one and will notice when we go in seperately. We can't afford to have our remaining press pass taken away from us too.

Huge pot makes a chip leader of Simon Mycock (Londoner, according to BA based in Oslo, so both UK and Scandie in one):

on an Ac 5s 6c flop, he bet out 8k (I think) into two other players.  His neighbour, decently stacked, made the call, while the other guy fled the scene.
Turn: 5d.  Simon checks, Matey bets 15k pretty fast, and before the chips have come to a full stop, Simon says, "All in."  Instacall.
Simon shows:  5h 6s
Matey shows:  3c 5c

And the Js river gives a monster pot to Simon, giving him over 180,000 which he just moved from neighbour's stack to his own with ever so slightly shaky hands...

Roy is indeed still in, with 120k.  He said he'd raised with A-4 and hit a lovely 4-4-6 flop.  Putting his opponent on a decent overpair, he gambled and moved all-in for a lot.  The big payoff was not to be, however, although he looks happy with his stack.

The accuracy of chip counts may be somewhat more shaky after this level, as they've put some chairs around the tables in one of the rooms, and no-one's to go round the tables.  One-sided viewing means one angle for counting means fewer accurate chip counts.  Sorry.  They're tightening the press noose quite early on this one.

Iwan's doing pretty well up on the stage, nicking one set of large blinds, and betting another opponent off a Js Ks 7c flop with a 14k bet.

The consolidated chips mean that there have been far fewer all-ins this level, although the rich seem to be getting richer.

I missed out seat 1 from the Feature Table, who's Christoffer Sonesson.  Probably.  And also on that table are Claus Nielsen and  Harrison Williams (seats 4 and 5).  Thomas Kremser is doing the announcing on there, but due to the rest of the room's noise (there are sit'n'gos starting up slowly) it's hard to make out what he's saying.

The secondary room has somehow dwindled to just two tables during this 1,500/3000 ante 300 level... only 46 remaining in total.

A few counts:

Simon Mycock        120,000
Alexandre Poulain     68,000
Jim Kerrigan             35,000
Magnus Petersson    122,000
Bertrand Grospellier    80,000

In 2 minutes, the players will be going on a 45 minute break. When they reutn, the blinds will be rising to 2,000 and 4,000.

At the moment, there are 45 players still remaining, including the likes of Jones, Slade, Cloutier, ElkY, Jorgensen, Neilsen and quite a few other familiar faces.

The cream seems to be rising to the top in this one.

John Shipley and Janne Helen Overa (great choice, the pink cardigan - couldn't do better myself)...
Shipley's had a pretty good day, and must have a much tighter image than he thought possible - earlier he made a re-raise preflop just because the same guy had been raising quite a lot and he wasn't having his position snatched away yet again - and Matey passed, showing Qd Qs!

Seeing as we now have 45 minutes of break - I am going for a power nap (oh the luxury of staying in the same hotel as the tournament) as we've been burning the candle at both ends this week.  And the middle.  With a blowtorch.   Back when play recommences.

Unfortunatelty for Slade fans, Nik is down to the felt after running Pocket Queens into the Bullets of TJ Cloutier, Nick being the player who made the initial raise.

All this on the TV table too.

Nick Slade bought me and Iwan lunch yesterday as a good luck for our day ones.....having hit that river king to stay in v the chip leader's QQ, I think Nick may be forced to carry on that tradition at each and every tournament from now on......the crosses we have to bear.

Good luck to Iwan and Nick, and Roy the Boy, looking in supreme form, which considering the amount he sunk last night in the casino bar (after the hotel bar had closed) is an awesome performance.

PS Excellent stuff Jen and Snoops, undoubtedly THE best updating team at the EPT yet again.

Nick has joined me briefly in the pressroom. He says he thought Cloutier might had been at it with those Aces because he'd shown Kings previously and somehow got a shortstack to fold his Ace King.

Nick's still alive though with 48k and seems pretty confident.

"Do you ever tilt, Nick?" I asked.

"Do I f*ck!" he replied.

:D He doesn't mince his words that lad.

Samir Shakhtoor, who I believe maybe a British entrant (anyone know him?) is currently on about average stack, although he was just bluffed (probably) off a pot by Ghassen Yafaoui.

Board was 4h-6d-8d-7h, Ghassen bet 20k into into a 35k, which was enough to make his opponent fold.

Ghassen proudly revealed his Ac Kc.

A couple of seats down is the ever dangerous Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, who has been threatening a big live win to match his online performances for quite a while now...

2   DKK 2308608 = €309,773

3   DKK 1340928 = €179,928

4   DKK 1022976 = €137,254

5   DKK 843264 = €113,142

6   DKK 663552 = €89,028

7   DKK 525312 = €70,481

8   DKK 373248 = €50,083

9-10   DKK 228096 = €30,606

11-12   DKK 179712 = €24,114

13-14   DKK 138240 = €18,547

15-16   DKK 96768 = €12,983

17-24   DKK 76032 = €10,201

25-32   DKK 55296 = €7,419

33-40  DKK 41472 = €5,564

TOTAL:13,824,000

So the next eight out are in the little-over-money-back-unless-qualified-online state.

Hilmar Tveit had about eight chips for the last eight levels of play.  I am almost saddened that such tenacious determination to make the money wasn't rewarded, even though the top prizes were likely to have eluded him with such a style.

To just quote myself for a minute: "So the next eight out are in the little-over-money-back-unless-qualified-online state."

Add to your mental list of online qualifiers none other than TJ Cloutier.  It was a mystery to me, and to Henning Granstad why he was over here in the first place, and when he appeared on TV wearing a Pokerstars shirt, the natural assumption to make was that he'd been backed.  But no.  When Henning just came out and asked him, it turned out the veteran player won a $10 satellite on Stars.  I kid you not.

This scene created the biggest pot of the night, with Thomas Holm moving in for 96k.

Pre-flop action had created a 30k pot, which then rose to 70k once Bastian Landehagen flat called Holm's 20k bet on a Flop of Jd 2h 9d.

Turn = 3d, and Holm, who took an absolute age to fold (only barely an exaggeration), finally moved all in for 96 big ones.

After a brief thinking spell, Bastian stood up and shoved his remaining 100k across the line.

Bastian showed Sixes, which were behind his opponent's Pocket Tens.

The miracle out failed to appear as the River brought a black Queen.

Just now, you could see the beady eyes of a short stack light up from across the room - the reason - he'd found Ad Ac and a caller.  Got to the side of the table I'm allowed to stand on just as the hands were being manoevred into the middle by the dealer, and he'd found a caller with Aspades Ahrt.  Poker is a silly game.

Some chip counts:

Christoffer Sonesson        19k
TJ Cloutier                    230k (I think; it's a lot in any case)
Claus Nielsen                  40k
Christian Grundtvig          131k
Simon Mycock                205k
Magnus Petersson          116k

There's a new TV table, featuring (from what I can see over the live feed in the press room) Jan Sjavik (still my top pick), Richard Toth, who's the backwards hat wearer I asked about earlier in that photo, Elky, Andy Goetsch,  Ricki Nielsen and Jim Kerrigan who looks like he's wearing a shiny hat but that's because a lot of tape has been applied to obscure the logo...

Speaking of which, they must not be filming Ricki Nielsen from the back, as he's covered in large Pokerroom logos, shirt, jacket, hat, probably pants.

Jonas Helness is the new chip leader after outdrawing Iwan Jones in a monster pot.

Jonas Helness raised from the button, small blind called and so did Iwan in the big blind with Pocket Threes.

Flop comes J-7-3 and it all kicks off.

Iwan bets out 45k, Helness makes it 70k, other guy folds, Iwan and Helness get the rest of their chips in.

Helness shows Nines, Turns a nine and puts Iwan back down to 60k.

They are down to 32 players (blinds 3k/6k ante 600).  Table break - after Magnus Petersson gets the short stack all in preflop with his Ad Kd dominating the re-raiser's Ahrt Jc.  The board kept him in, though, coming 9d 9c 9h 8h 8d for a split.

Anyway, groans all round at the prospect of moving to a new table at this crucial point in the tournament - something I personally hate - although this time Thomas Kremser did the fair 'cards face-down on table' approach to seat draw, so who goes on the TV table is random, as it should be.

Jonas Helness is the new chip leader after outdrawing Iwan Jones in a monster pot.

Jonas Helness raised from the button, small blind called and so did Iwan in the big blind with Pocket Threes.

Flop comes J-7-3 and it all kicks off.

Iwan bets out 45k, Jones makes it 70k, other guy folds, Iwan and Helness get the rest of their chips in.

Helness shows Nines, Turns a nine and puts Iwan back down to 60k.

He won't last long, look.... ::)

Jonas Helness
Erik Lindberg
Eoghan O'Dea

Obviously hasn't seen Mycock.

Are my other picks still in?

Hi Snoopy

Any chance of a chip count on top ten.

Thanks ;kev;

Bit tricky because they won't let us near the feature table (very crowded here!), but, from the outer tables...

Thomas Holm -- 285k
TJ Cloutier -- 250k
A chap no one can name -- 205k
Jonas Helness -- 200k
Simon Mycock -- 170k
Theo Jorgensen -- 125k

Andy Goetsch eliminates Ricki Nielsen from the TV table - only caught a glimpse of a 9-straightening board on the Press Room monitor and they were shaking hands.  In the secondary cash level, now, incidentally - €7,419.

Pictures taken from the Viewing Seats - no good, but I think I got Jim Kerrigan's head in one.

Claus Nielsen has doubled up courtest of Marcin Horecki, Eights holding up vs. A-Q on a 6-T-4-t-5 board.

Claus is now on 70k.

How is Anders Wijk doing? (swedish guy in a black hood) Please update him just once :D

Sorry for the silence - you just need to gently nudge us into action occasionally - here's your man, with 84k, having just moved in for his comparatively short 75k and got the full count-down request from small blind Jonas Helness, although they all passed in the end.

Here's John Shipley, but also a reminder that we have to nudge and apologise our way to the front of what is now a sizeable crowd every time we go back in there.  Good atmosphere; tough to cover.  Part of the crowd is Paul Higgins, who came for the almost non-advertised side events - I think more people might have taken a Copenhagen holiday if they'd A) planned in advance to get their seats for the main event or B) heard about the other events which are, "quite good," as the laconic Paul says, and felt like exploring what is by all accounts a cool city in its own right.  So we've heard.

Action on the TV table!  Jan Sjavik is all in preflop against Richard Toth.  A camera angle which you probably wouldn't stage (and would be frankly sadistic if you did) showed us the corners of one each of their hole cards:
Jan had  Aspades ??
Richard had Ac ??

They stood up; the board came 2h 8d 7s....8h...2s

I shall infer from the relieved smile on Jan Sjavik's face, that his kicker had been the one in trouble, and his tournament life on the line...

Anders Wijk has eliminated Jonas Helness with Qd Qh vs Ac Qc, all-in pre-flop.

No handshakes here, the high fives, cheers and 'yelps' from the railers resulting in Helness meekly creeping away.

Just caught up with a charasmatic Brit called Colin Ogden (pictured below) who, unusually for us, slipped under the Blonde Poker radar somewhat.

Pretty cool story though...

Qualifying for just $8 ("I just wanted something to pass the time whilst I played a Sit and Go"), Colin came through 2 Paradise satellites to reach what is only his 5th live event.

He's played the odd comp at the Grosvenor and Stanley Casinos in his hometown of Southampton, but tends to play recreationally online due to his daily obligations as one of those dudes who installs the air conditioning. (Wish he'd been working today in this cardroom.)

Anyhow, Colin told me that he's had the time of his life and was overjoyed to have sneaked into the money.

"I really wanted the money, so when the bubble approached, I was just trying to hang in. Once it passed, I just went for it, and after my pre-flop raise with tens was re-raised by the guy next to me, I decided to gamble with my last 30 or so thousand and hope he either had a slightly small pair, or at worst, over cards. Unfortunately, he had Kings and I didn't hit, but I don't care because this has been one of the best weeks of my life."

Good story huh?

It's not often someone turns 5 quid into €5,564.

Dent to Simon Mycock's stack - pretty serious one too -

He called Tobias Persson's preflop raise and the flop came 4c Qs Td.  Simon checked, Tobias bet 50k.  Simon raised to 100k.  A very long think, and then Tobias Persson's whole 250k stack was in the middle.  Clearly this was not going according to plan for Simon, who struggled with the fold but managed it in the end.

Three way all-in now that has resulted in the elimination of Denmark's Peter Fischer.

Once again it was from the feature table, and once again the camera made it exceedingly difficult to witness the holding cards, but I'm pretty sure Anton Smolyanskiy flipped over Ace Queen, and, judging by his dismay, I would assume Cole Morrow, who was the shortest of the three, had a monster hand like Aces or Kings. Fischer, who had also pushed his short stack all-in, was in deep trouble with A-J.

The Flop came 6s 3d 7s

No reaction.

Turn = 5d

River = Tc

Fischer, who begun the day in 8th position, taps the table and exits stage left.

A rumour has been circulated that they're intending to end play when this level finishes.  We are skeptical about this - if they bring back three tables, tomorrow might need more hours than it has in it to finish the thing.  Legal rules state that the place has to shut by 3am, but they can surely get another level in tonight...

Magnus Petersson may well be the latest chip leader with half a million.

On a Flop of 3s Jc Tc, all the chips went in with Simon Mycock's Ac Js up against Petersson's Pocket Queens.

Magnus grimaced as the Turn brought an intimidating Kc, but exhaled deeply when all the draws failed to hit the highly welcoming 2h River.

As a result, Simon is down to the felt, so no one is fearing Mycock at the moment.

A couple of counts, from behind someone's head and in front of someone else's... I don't know how many times I've apologised for not being transparent today.

Elky                 190k
Jan Sjavik          170k
Thomas Holm     340k
Anders Wijk       350k
Tobias Persson     71k
Theo Jorgensen  140k

It's really chaotic right now - the 30cm gap between the rail and the tables means it's cosy for the press, to say the least.

And although Anton Smolyanskiy sounds Russian, he is indeed one of the remaining Americans.

This reserved and sheepish (although certainly not in poker terms) fellow is Mark Scher Petersen.

And as soon as we reconvene, we lose yet another in Tobias Persson, who made a move with King High, but was looked up by big stacker Magnus Peterssen.

Couldn't see the hand I'm afraid, cameraman is rubbish for the live feed and they won't let us watch the tv table out in the cardroom - sure makes reporting on the darn thing tricky.

Simon Mycock is OUT in 16th place, winning €12,983

Super short stack Simon was all-in blind, against Thomas Holm's Kd Tc...

He turned over the Ahrt, saying "Yes!" and it was suited with the 6h.

Flop: 9d Ks Jh
Turn:  2d
River:  Td

"Good game, everyone," said gentlemanly Simon as he made his way to the rail.  He's pictured here right before he found out what his last hand was to be...

Yes, this rubbish picture gives an accurate view of all we can see of it.  Thank goodness Big TK's voice carries...

A couple more - Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier in full Pokerstars regalia, and Thomas Holm, a double T-shirt stacker.

Title: Re: EPT Copenhagen: Day 2 - Interactive

Betrand 'ElkY' Grospellier has doubled up through Ingemar Jönsson, who is down to the felt as a consequence.

On the K-9-8 Flop, Ingemar bet out, ElkY moved all-in, leaving Ingemar to call was an almost obligatory call.

J-Q vs a set of Eight.

The 9 on the Turn gave Elky the Full House, but Ingemar wasn't dead, still alive he made a somehwhat hopeful gutshot straight flush draw.

Funnily enough, it failed to develop allowing ElkY to shoot up to 350k.

Anders Wijk gets busy on the TV Table News Now:

Twice he's moved all-in over the top of a limper/preflop raiser and got them off their hand.  The most recent time Magnus Petersson raised to around 90k and then passed to the all-in move.  Thomas Kremser said, and I think by 'he' he meant Anders, "He shows Nine Ten of hearts..."  That got a round of applause from his vocal support crew.

To make things easier for you, let me introduce the players currently on the feature table:

In seat and picture order...

Samir Shakhtoor (Sweden)
Erik Lindberg (Sweden)
Alexandre Poulain (France)
Cole Morrow (Canada)
Anders Wijk (Swden)
Magnus Petersson (Sweden)
Jan Sjavik (Norway)

Short stack Jan Sjavik also managed to get Petersson to lay something down, although it can't have been much...

Then Alexandre Poulain gets it all in with a call holding Ad Js against what I think must have been 9c 9h for Anders Wijk (our live feed might as well be to News 24):

Flop:  Ks 6c Kh
Turn:  Qc
River:  Jc

And a relieved Alexandre sits back down.

Now it's Samir Shaktoor's turn to put the pressure on Anders Wijk preflop, moving in and causing a troubled dwell, complete with pause with finger in the 'launch cards into the muck' position.

Snoopy's in the tournament area while I get to try to decipher what's going on on the Feature Table.  15 minutes left until the end of play today...

13 players remaining - Ingemar Johnsson is no more - a very short stack before his demise, however.

And with the level coming to an end, it looks like John Duthie might be giving up on the final table target and calling it a night... we shall confirm shortly, but it's appears as though the bags are coming out.

Yes, the weird end of level music has played, and the remaining 12 players will be allowed what Thomas Kremser called their "deserved break" after they bag and tag the chips.

They'll be returning at 2pm tomorrow (that's 1pm UK time) and, if we're still able to be woken by our alarms, so will we.
