Flop: Td Ts 8s Qd Qc Pretty conclusive huh? Next hand Georgiou moves all-in after Tina Jordan's EP raise to 24k, everyone passes, he shows Aces. I think Mehmet has lost about 200k of his 367k final table starting stack. Board: Ks Js 7s Jh 4c Massive pot, over 300k goes to Lowe who is now chip leader, and has been insensitive by ruining my chips counts. Ariel has around 30k left. Board: Aspades Ad 5s Td 9h Meaning Ray Brown is OUT in 7th place winning £3,720 Tough beat, but he took it very well. Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: NoflopsHomer on January 21, 2007, 10:28:25 PM Mark Lowe now has around half the chips in play and must be the favourite to take this down.

Blinds are 6k/12k Mehmet raises to 37k on the button. Tina Jordan moves all-in for 194k, she has him covered by 6k. He calls all-in with......Ahrt 8h. She has Ks Kh. Board: Jh Qc Ad 8s Js Tina's last 6k goes in next hand in a checked down pot between Mehmet and Mark. Memhet's Qd 4d is good enough against the Ac 2h of Tina to scoop. Whilst he is over in the UK visiting he decided to play a comp or two and alighted on this festival. He wanted to try poker in a different country because he " always plays against the same players and I wanted to see what it was like to play others" He has never played online. His quest to expand his poker horizons has clearly produced successful results! Well done guys!! Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: TightEnd on January 22, 2007, 02:17:36 AM Well that's all folks
I want to sincerely thank NoFlops for helping me find my feet this weekend and to Jen for allowing her beloved updates into my strange hands for a couple of days. It's been a pleasure! Congratulations to Mehmet, in what proved to be a final table quite different to many others..and thank you all for your contributions and with that.... ;stickaforkinme; ;dewi; ;thankyou; Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: NoflopsHomer on January 22, 2007, 02:18:23 AM Well, this has been a surreal weekend, but congratulations to Mehmet in a final that surprisingly didn't end in a deal. Also the average age of the final table was also quite high just to prove that it isn't just young whippersnappers like Rookie, JP and Tikay that can play the game.
Anyway we are all finished now, so I'd just like to say thanks to Tighty for helping me out this weekend. Somehow I'm still wide awake, but I think I'll avoid the crazy cash game. ;stickaforkinme; Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: Geo the Sarge on January 22, 2007, 02:18:53 AM Well done Flops and Tighty, extreme patience shown tonight.
Great job, thanks Geo Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: Card_Shark on January 22, 2007, 02:21:23 AM Fine job with the updates guys. ty

Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: Djinn on January 22, 2007, 02:45:23 AM Thanks for the Luton updates - TightEnd you are dangerously close to losing all your weekends, you're that good at it. Ask Homer how we lured him in...
Well done and see you soon. Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: taximan007 on January 22, 2007, 03:28:18 AM just read all the updates in one go, great work guys ;hattip;

Not only Jen & snoops, but strength in depth, too.
I love it when we have to read between the lines, as in Tighty's..... Congratulations to Mehmet, in what proved to be a final table quite different to many others Being Tighty-speak for, well, what an interesting Final. Thanks Guys. Truth to tell, not the most spectacular of Finals, but you two still made it compelling reading by telling it how it was. Sorry I missed the last 4 or 5 hours, I took to my bed, a lttle under the weather, but this morning I'm like a spring lamb. Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: turny on January 22, 2007, 11:07:06 AM great updates guys just read right through.
gutted for the boy, out in 10th to the biggest fish in the comp but i suppose at least the fish went on to win the comp! rookie done himself, the itb and blonde proud and proved that he can hold his own in these big competitions. theres not many players around that can be beat with QQ 4 times and AA all on the first day and still make the final 10. well done rooks next time you'll go all the way! :respect: Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: tikay on January 22, 2007, 11:10:54 AM great updates guys just read right through. gutted for the boy, out in 10th to the biggest fish in the comp but i suppose at least the fish went on to win the comp! rookie done himself, the itb and blonde proud and proved that he can hold his own in these big competitions. theres not many players around that can be beat with QQ 4 times and AA all on the first day and still make the final 10. well done rooks next time you'll go all the way! :respect: Too right! Has been railed by his wife for two days solid "not the most interesting of spectator sports is it?" was her rather wistful refrain of an hour ago Excellent updates guys, I often read the site as it's a great read. I had to bribe the girlfriend to rail me with the offer to introduce her to TK, as she's a fan apparently. She wants to know when he's back on TV. Thanks for the kind words, good luck all Blondes. All the best Mark Title: Re: Grosvenor Grand Challenge 2007 Final Day - Interactive Post by: ripple11 on January 22, 2007, 08:09:48 PM Welcome to Blonde Mark :hello:

All the best Mark But you never introduced me! But I did see the young Ldy - very beautiful indeed, and she seared an impression upon my heart which shall remain forever. Luckily (for her) & sadly for everyone else, I shall be gracing (is that the correct adjective?) your TV screens again very soon. And if you are at Brighton this weekend, please say Hi. Well done in the comp, great effort Sir. Sky is launching Sky Poker, a new interactive entertainment channel and website, dedicated to the ever-popular card game of poker. Sky customers will have the chance to play live online or via interactive TV while taking part in televised tournaments against celebrities and poker pundits as well as each other. Every night on Sky Poker we showcase The Open -- a live televised online tournament in which players at home will play against live studio guests. Hosts for the Open will include poker champion and Soccer AM presenter Helen Chamberlain, ex Big Breakfast host Richard Orford and At The Races presenter Sean Boyce. In preparation for launch and to help get the team fully operational, Sky Poker is planning to run five free-to-play tournaments exclusively for people who work at Sky. Sky Poker needs your help to play in the tournaments as part of live rehearsals. There is no real money involved, it's just for fun, plus you get the chance to win a Sky HD box, and every day the top six players will win a bottle of champagne! There will be five daily tournaments, between Friday 26 and Tuesday 30 January, all starting at 9pm. I will probably play in a couple but certainly not all 5, so if anyone is after an HD box they can have a bash on the nights i'm not in if they like. Well i have played in 2 0f these trials now, the first one i could hardly play a hand due to it timing me out and not accepting anything i did. The second i have just came third (to a complete luckbox called Zeb?) in winning a bottle of champagne (hate the stuff). But what do i find when i'm playing Chilli is in the studio a certain rookie and a byron in the chat box. Best is yet to come tomorrow's guests are a paul and ben tunstill.
