no, but he knows all about us now. Has been railed by his wife for two days solid
"not the most interesting of spectator sports is it?" was her rather wistful refrain of an hour ago

One thing I did notice from all three of finalists is that when any of the other players went to bet, they all tended to look at either their chips if they planned to call or raise or went straight to touching their cards (if to muck). Not sure it was noticed by players though.
Here the trophy looks on as it wonders where it is ending up....

Alan Geddes has won the £100 and in a potentially stunning double triumph, is angling for a presentation photo with Dena.

Big hand now, raised preflop to 60k by Georgiou has about 210k back, with Mehmet having the rest.
Flop:
Georgiou check calls Mehmet's 50k bet on the flow
Turn:
Again Georgiou check calls another 50k bet.
River:
They both check, Mehmet shows
whilst Georgiou mucks his
.
This left Georgiou with just 110k with 10k/20k blinds which he duly put in the next hand with
and was duly called by Mehmet's
...
Board:
So
Andrew Georgiou
is our
2nd
place finisher winning
£18,600

Mehmet tells me he has only played before in the Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm. Turkish by descent he has been living in Sweden for most of his adult life.
Whilst he is over in the UK visiting he decided to play a comp or two and alighted on this festival. He wanted to try poker in a different country because he " always plays against the same players and I wanted to see what it was like to play others"
He has never played online.
His quest to expand his poker horizons has clearly produced successful results!

Well that's all folks
I want to sincerely thank NoFlops for helping me find my feet this weekend and to Jen for allowing her beloved updates into my strange hands for a couple of days. It's been a pleasure!
Congratulations to Mehmet, in what proved to be a final table quite different to many others..and thank you all for your contributions
and with that....

Well, this has been a surreal weekend, but congratulations to Mehmet in a final that surprisingly didn't end in a deal. Also the average age of the final table was also quite high just to prove that it isn't just young whippersnappers like Rookie, JP and Tikay that can play the game.
Anyway we are all finished now, so I'd just like to say thanks to Tighty for helping me out this weekend. Somehow I'm still wide awake, but I think I'll avoid the crazy cash game.
