Very simply, it's 4 card, non-flop, three rounds of betting, three chances to swap some or all of your holding, game.

The nuts are A-2-3-4 of different suits.

Not a game to be played in Casinos for cash unless you know what you are doing, the pots get huge. Bluffing is more prevelant in Padooki than almost any game I know.

NONE of the Hand-Rankings we know from any type of poker apply.

Is padooki the same as Badugi on the old tribeca?

No, the hand rankings are different, but the object of the game is very similar

In Badugi, if tied the fourth card is disregarded, in Padooki, all four cards play so Ac 3s 5s 7d is a 7 flush.

Hand Rankings for UK Padooki

 Aspades 2d 3c 4h is the nuts

 Aspades 2d 3c 8h is an 8 padooki

 Aspades 2d 3d 8h is an 8 flush

 Aspades 2s 3s 8h is still an 8 flush

Aspades  2d 2c 8h is a full house and a really crap hand

If this is allowed in a dealers choice game (most places do not regard this as *poker*) then it is a huge advantage to play on the button as it is a triple draw game.

they play this at my local casino. i sat down to play some dealers choice other day and just folded every hand of this as i didnt have a clue wot i was doin. some big pots came up. i tried to learn wot was a good hand but it was pretty complicated
