Title: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: Leggy 11 on May 09, 2007, 02:05:31 PM I've just had a nice woman calling me from Tikay's phone saying that an 'old man' had left this phone on the train at St Pancreas train station and that she was going to hand it in to the Lost Property office there.
So if anyone bumps in to him today can you let him know where his phone is!! Joe Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: wormster on May 09, 2007, 02:07:59 PM great news! I left Tikay about an hour ago in London, he was going to check in at the lost property. He is with Tighty, I'll try to get him a meesage, but if anyone out there can ring Tightend & let Tikay no, that would be great.

So if anyone bumps in to him today can you let him know where his phone is!! Joe he probably "lost " it there on purpose..just so he can come within 100 feet of Helen (the lady at the lost and found dept. at St Pancreas station) again..even though the judge told him not to. Clever fella that Tikay. *disclaimer...don't know if there actually is a lady named Helen working at ST Pancreas lost and found..or if Tikay was stalking her and she got a restraining order against him. Might be a guy named Jimmy who works there..the restraining order part is probably true though..Tikay is a bit too keen on people who work with trains and gets carried away sometimes ;) Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: Sheriff Fatman on May 09, 2007, 02:12:43 PM I've just phoned Tighty's mobile and left a message on his voicemail as he wasn't answering.
Hopefully it'll get through to him. Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: da_poker_monkey on May 09, 2007, 03:47:55 PM I don't think Blonde should let him out anymore unless he has someone to look after him, it's sad but it's for his own good. I have been getting concerned for him since when playing a while back he insisted he had pocket Q's two hands running but he showed his cards and had Q's then J's lol ;tk; ;m3boy;

So if anyone bumps in to him today can you let him know where his phone is!! Joe Thank you to everyone who helped with this, I am muchly relieved I have my 'phone, & more importantly, my databank of numbers, back. With respect to "Leggy", I am sure the Nice Lady never referred to an "old man". I was looking particularly dandy today. To be fair, I fell asleep on the train, & had to be woken at St Pancras, & the waker-upper handed me a tissue to clean the slaver off my chin. Now that's service. After my work in London was done, I went to Lost Property at St Pancras, & a smiley man had the 'phone there, & after a few ID checks, all was well. I was so happy, I placed the phone inside my trousers (think nether regions) for the journey home, made love to it, and, suitably reunited, we all had a wonderful journey. By the way, it's St Pancras, NOT St Pancreas. These details are crucial. Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: tikay on May 09, 2007, 07:32:43 PM I am blessed - this was the 3rd time I'd lost, then found, my moby.
I went to Deauville in 2005 or 2006, via Eurostar to Paris, stayed overnight, then caught the early train to Trouville-Deauville, sharing a compartment with Thewy, Stu Fox, Lucky Jim, Bad Girl, Smokin Steve, & Mr Ulliott, & thence by taxi to the Hotel de Barre for the EPT, where I was invited to join Bambos for a meal, only to discover my moby was missing. I raced back to the Station, found the original Taxi I'd taken, & the 'phone was sitting on the back seat, phew! I also left it in the Departure Lounge at Glasgow Airport after a "recce" trip to Glasgow for APAT. I managed to get it back after Ryanair traced it & sent it back on the next flight. A real miracle, that one - finding someone in Ryanair who cared....... I think I'll tie it to myself in future. Anyone know how I can "save" all my 'stored telephone numbers? I have 600 or 700, & I'd be lost without them. Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: Claw75 on May 09, 2007, 07:55:12 PM Anyone know how I can "save" all my 'stored telephone numbers? Depends on the network, if you go into any orange shop for £3 they will store them for you, not sure about other networks. This is a sim copier that's cheap: http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?prod=USIM%5FBackup%5F001 If you have a nokia you can use the synchronise function with their software to back up to your computer. Thanks Ian. I am on Vodafone. Will I need cables & things to "synchronise function" (eh?) with my PC & Moby? It sounds a bit complicated, I may just copy them manually. But thank you. Post by: fearisthekey on May 09, 2007, 08:21:30 PM The last time I lost my moby was in Africa. I left it in the back of a cab. I was frantic with worry because it also provides security if you get into trouble, had important numbers on it also.
1 hour later the 15 year old taxi driver, dressed in rags, had tracked me down to my hotel, and had made it past armed guards who tried to nick the phone of him. He could have sold it on for about 1 week's wage, but when pressed on this advised me 'But's it's not my phone, it's yours.' Cost me about £40 in tips, and I was gobsmacked. So mobile thieves in a first world country (with a benefits safety net) kind of make me a bit annoyed. Title: Re: Has anyone spotted Tikay??? Post by: lazaroonie on May 09, 2007, 08:58:36 PM i think your best bet is to go into a carphone warehouse shop where they will store all your numbers for you "on a computer", so that in the event of you losing your phone, you can get them to restore the numbers to your new phone.
i think they take a couple of quid for the service. I once lost a phone in a taxi in Budapest. That isnt unusual, but what was, was the speed in which it was nicked. I had stepped out of the taxi at the hotel front door, the taxi pulled away - about thirty seconds later I realised i didnt have it, got to reception to phone it, and it was switched off - gone. gotta love budapest taxi drivers....
