i am planning the saturday/sunday just trying to work out the best way to get there

i was going to fly to dublin i have now found this isnt the best way as its 2 hours away and the taxi will be expensive

so looking at 2 flights via either luton or manachester or birmingham

Another option is gatwick to cork and drive from there - I've done the journey before and it's less than two hours from there. As I live near Gatwick this is the way I have generally gone as you can get from Gatwick to Cork on Ryan Air.

By the way, I'm registerd too  :)up

just tried to get my car on the flight to dublin ryan air told me it was over the weight limit

so it looks like aberdeen to luton luton to waterford

or aberdeen to dublin train to waterford

So where abouts is it then?!! the map only shows two streets and my knowlege of Irish streets isnt good enough to name the city from that... is it Dublin?

Waterford

Thought it was crystal clear, sorry

I'm a little confused! No change there but....
Is Big Slick Poker a poker club who is having a big competition in hotel to cope with numbers, or a group that organises events in different venues?!! If it also has a club is that in the same Waterford placey?

Hi all,

Just to let you know... you can also get the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare. Waterford is an hour,s drive from the ferry.    Blonde are also trying to arrange not only for Sat's for these events but for folks to be able to buy in directly to the event on the site. This should make things easy for all.  Kev I think you should do Sat's for more than the main event .... you lazy git.

Yes THANK YOU DENIS !!

Can you arrange for the amount of hours in a day to be increased from 24 to 30 ??

I fully expect to be running sats for the main event and depending on demand ...MAYBE... a side event.

On Monday I hopefully will have all the info I need to start planning the sats ... Maybe one in august and one in september with feeders to both.

Maybe more if the demand is there.

Big Slick on behalf of blonde have done a hotel deal withThe Ramada Viking Hotel, for the weekend it is €50 pps room only or €55 pps B+B, with a Supplement of €20 for single rooms making it €75 per single.

Please Contact the Hotel using the booking Reference or Code 25024

Please say you are at the blonde Waterford Poker Festival. The details are below, please note 7 rooms have filled already and only  40 are pre-booked. Please do not leave it to late to book as the hotels in Waterford are in peak season for hen nights and weekends away and fill fast ..

The hotel is located on the Cork Road and is 5 minutes from both the City centre and the Woodlands Hotel ... Taxis will be about €6-€7 to the city or the woodlands.

Please note if you are booking through Big Slick you must let them know if you are staying the 3 nights or two because it cannot be changed after it is booked, as it oftens happens with poker events that players get knocked out and do not stay on for the full 3 days .. They will be charging for the full 3 days if you pre-book now as they would be full anyhow ....

"Capacity is 320 with 32 tables but we have satellite tickets included : 30 super sat and 10 Blazing aces club so players who are registered will fill those seats with less satellite capacity from now

I will be doing alternates for the first 3 levels with a full starting stack"

is the answer

So if I'm on the list I'm playing and not as an alternate?

Tighty - I have sent the following email - lets hope it gets some specifics!

Hi Neill - can you please confirm that if I have pre-registered as a player i am playing?

Bit concerned that the tournament has been over subscribed and that alternates are already planned - I have booked a flight and dont want to turn up and find I am playing as an alternate and may not even get a game.

Please confirm what the official situation is on player numbers, sattelites entries already allocated but not won yet and alternates please.

Many thanks

Tracey Dell

Dewi, my flight to Dublin was CHEAPER than the disgracefull charge on the bridge to get into Wales!!! (and thats with fees and taxes included!)

Well alright, almost.  Flights (return) total £11.98 inc all fees and taxes.

Can I point out the charge is for leaving england not for entering wales, and if you ask me it's very good value :D

A very quick answer from Ireland so thankyou Neill for that  - answer is as follows:

U are a listed player Tracey and once this is paid for 2 hours before play u will be seated . The list is full but we always get no shows , I will make sure u will be seated u have my word on that all travelling uk players will be looked after . The Listed players have up until 5.30pm on the Friday to pay for the seat and after that the seats become released to those who have not pre-registered

I can assure u 100% that your seat is guaranteed from this point ,

Big  Slick Events

So if you're not a travelling Uk player and you get bumped......?! Lie!

Hi All ,

Just to confirm that all pre registerred names are guaranteed seats if they are paid for by 5.30 pm which is 2 hours before play . We have a contact number for the registration desk which can be used for our travelling UK and european players which is 00353877727307 . If by some chance that flights and traffic hold you up please be assured we will assist u in anyway possible and hold the seat if u call the Registration desk and explain your situation .

The list stands at 340 with capacity of 320-330 . We always allow for no shows and Super sats which take up 50 seats , Pre registerred players will take some sat tickets whcih will obviously free up seats

After this we will have alternates in place for the first 3 levels of play only and all players start with no penalty and a full starting stack , If u require further info please feel free to contact me directly at neill_kelly@hotmail.com

Couldnt we all bunch together, throw all our money on one of us 225-1 shots, lock colclough, mason, kendall etc out of the building and clean paddypower out?

This is supposed to be a community after all  ;)

i reckon el blondie at 66/1 is a great each way bet, I'm gonna have a few quid each way on him plus the rookster at 100/1. Ericstoner doesnt give his chips away easy 150/1 worth a few quid as I can imagine the headlines now if he goes and wins it!!

Couldn't see a price for the Duke but apparently he's 1/7 to dring the hotel dry of guinness.

Looking forward to this, just 3 days at work to get through next week, then flying to waterford thursday morning.

 :)up
