So this Zoenthe (Sp?) for £7m...going to back up Malouda right?

Robben two years ago was unstoppable at one point, a bit like Ronaldo last year. If he gets that form back its great business. He should comfotably have been playing when fit for Chelsea.

£15m they can have him!

2 years ago unstoppable? yeah for 5 months ffs that dont make you in the top 5 in the world im afraid.

people said he was the new Zola after that 5 months lol he not good enough to lace the great mans boots!

injury prone and a perenial underachiever, selfish and a cry baby imo.

Chelsea will be a better place without him though personally i dont think he will go

Let me get one thing straight - I cant stand the guy.

However in a market where really good wingers are scarce he is without a doubt one of the best. I wouldn't sell him for £20m. He still has his best years ahead of him.

If he leaves Chelsea it's good for everyone else.

who would you rather have robben for 15m or bent for 17m? err

 Robben, obviously.

Robben leaving Chelsea will make Chelsea weaker. The problem for Robben is the tactics and playing style of the manager.

Because Chelsea were much more successful with wingers Robben/Duff/Cole than with the diamond used last year.

I read an interview with Mourinho two days ago saying this year he's going back to using wingers (hence buying Malouda) and Robben is better than any other winger in your team along with Joe Cole.

joe cole is a much better player than robben and id rather have joe in the team than robben

Out of 4 wingers Robben/cole/Malouda/SWP

Your best two are Robben and Cole quite easily.

Your manager has already said you will be playing with wingers again and that Ballack needs to fight for his place. He's also said he doesn't want Robben to leave.

In a nutshell, he is one of the best two wingers you have for the formation you are going to be playing this year.

Selling him is ok as long as you replace him, but replacing him with someone as good will be very hard.

we will see and that again is if robben goes which i dont think will happen

He is good but not better than Robben IMO. Plus Robben has yet to peak.

The two best wingers at Chelsea are Robben and SWP and they're trying to sell them both...

Robben and SWP were Manc and Ares targets but Chelsea came along and bought both of them.

I know the guy has his faults but I cant honestly believe any team in the world would be happy to lose Robben in terms of pure footballing talent.

Joe Cole and Robben obv best two wingers, although losing Robben for £15m wouldnt have a massive impact. SWP will then be given a chance to fill his boots hopefully.

im not saying they are happy to lose him but as a fan im not overly fussed.
he is to injury proned and as yet in my opinion has not lived upto expectation. yes hes still young and may have his best years ahead of him but im happy to take £15mil for him and take that chance.

chelsea is a team not an individual, robben worked very hard to impress in his first season but once established became lazy when called upon. mourinho likes his team to be a team with everyone showing the same work rate etc.

good luck to him at madrid but imo i dont think it will affect chelsea in any way next season.

The only thing Joe Cole does as well as Robben is dive.

i really think mourinho has lost the plot now.

he should have never sold duff or crespo, and now robben who will be a star in la liga.

instead hes left with such over rated gerriatrics picking up a dubai style payoff, shevchenko and ballack have wrecked chelsea

should have been ....

                                  drogba     crespo

                duff                     cole                       robben

                                      lampard

                                       makalele (class)

                             huth      carvalho    terry

Mourinho is a good manager I am sure he has seen enough of Robben to know the deal was good for Chelsea. IMO he was also right to sell Duff,  another one who seems to be always injured.

The big problem with Robben is that, despite his talent, he's a cheating bar steward !!

He'll fit in perfectly in Spain, lots of rolling about, feigning injury etc !!

Robben out of the Premiership ...good riddance !

I for one wish he would stay, because everytime he plays for chelsea against us we win...

To be honest the Prem will be a better place without him cheating t**t..  :redcard:

Not sure (as it wasn't me that posted that), but I'm guessing he means the chelsea were better with wingers and only one of lumplard or bollock in the team (obviously, this would be lumplard) - rather than trying to accommodate both of them in the middle?

I hate Robben, but I also hate C Ronaldo.  They are both excellent players, and I also think that chelsea will lose something from their squad if he goes.  It might be possible that his replacement can fill his role and even do better, but it's definitely a risk.

i think it says with wingers in the team without ballack and lampard which is unconfounded bull imo.

the season chelsea won the title with 2 wingers most weeks lampard was ever present!

agree with what yer saying boshi and agree lamps and ballack cannot play in the same team but that statement can be backed up with facts unlike the drivel quoted in the original post i was refering to
