who would you rather have robben for 15m or bent for 17m? err
Robben, obviously. Robben leaving Chelsea will make Chelsea weaker. The problem for Robben is the tactics and playing style of the manager. so if he dont suit the tactics and the playing style of the manager hows it gona make chelsea weaker? Because Chelsea were much more successful with wingers Robben/Duff/Cole than with the diamond used last year. I read an interview with Mourinho two days ago saying this year he's going back to using wingers (hence buying Malouda) and Robben is better than any other winger in your team along with Joe Cole.

Out of 4 wingers Robben/cole/Malouda/SWP Your best two are Robben and Cole quite easily. Your manager has already said you will be playing with wingers again and that Ballack needs to fight for his place. He's also said he doesn't want Robben to leave. In a nutshell, he is one of the best two wingers you have for the formation you are going to be playing this year. Selling him is ok as long as you replace him, but replacing him with someone as good will be very hard.

He is good but not better than Robben IMO. Plus Robben has yet to peak.

Robben and SWP were Manc and Ares targets but Chelsea came along and bought both of them.

I know the guy has his faults but I cant honestly believe any team in the world would be happy to lose Robben in terms of pure footballing talent.

Joe Cole and Robben obv best two wingers, although losing Robben for £15m wouldnt have a massive impact. SWP will then be given a chance to fill his boots hopefully.

im not saying they are happy to lose him but as a fan im not overly fussed. he is to injury proned and as yet in my opinion has not lived upto expectation. yes hes still young and may have his best years ahead of him but im happy to take £15mil for him and take that chance. chelsea is a team not an individual, robben worked very hard to impress in his first season but once established became lazy when called upon. mourinho likes his team to be a team with everyone showing the same work rate etc. good luck to him at madrid but imo i dont think it will affect chelsea in any way next season.

i really think mourinho has lost the plot now.
he should have never sold duff or crespo, and now robben who will be a star in la liga.
instead hes left with such over rated gerriatrics picking up a dubai style payoff, shevchenko and ballack have wrecked chelsea
should have been ....
drogba crespo
duff cole robben
lampard
makalele (class)
huth carvalho terry
cech
