Title: How stupid is this? Post by: doubleup on July 21, 2007, 06:45:21 PM First let me offer my sympathy for anyone affected by flooding. I was just watching a C4 news report about it. The reporter is standing on a bridge directly above some gas cannisters - she then peers over at them and explains that there is a worry that they could explode. Furthermore, she recounts that a caravan was swept down the river and struck the bridge damaging it. This she explains has weakened the bridge on which she is standing, leading to the possibility that it could collapse....... Title: Re: How stupid is this? Unfortunately I misunderstood where the suspect vehicle was - the radio message from my sergeant went as follows: "Would the officer standing by the blue Vauxhall cavalier please raise your hand so we know you can hear us" I duly raised my hand and waved at the sergeant My collegues then waved back at me and the radio message I received was "We are waving goodbye as you are standing by the bomb" It was a good race with me and the guy in the vauxhall! I think things were a little more relaxed in those days......how I miss the days when you would go on duty and have a laugh when a man peed on your hat from a great height - these days he would probably get tazered.
