I think they might struggle a bit too.  Didn't like what I saw of them on Sunday.  3rd at best I think.

terry with a broken foot

I like big JT but I can't help but think he deserves everything he got after that terrible attemptted tackle in Fabregas yesterday thatw as an absolute disgrace and he should be pulled up by the FA once he's back and hit with a 10 game ban.

Eboue is a disgrace. Thinking  of him puts me on tilt, the despicable play acting, cheating thug. ;grr; ;grr; ;grr; ;grr; ;grr;

terry, essien, carvalho and drogba will be missed i agree and i think chelsea may struggle. it certainly wont be pretty over the next few weeks but i still think they will grind out results.

i think he will buy a centre back in the transfer window, personally i think he needed to before terry and carvalho injurys as alex and ben hiem are horsedump and not up to the job.

as for the comment regards cech i think your being a bit harsh, fair enough he should have dealt with the corner that arsenal scored from but that hardly makes him a keeper that makes mistakes.
cech is class, the best in the world and makes far less mistakes than any other keeper. one mistake doesnt make him a bad keeper as his superb double save in the second half showed.

out of curiosity fergus whose your team?

Rightly they should struggle. Their starting line up will only just be worth over 100m, how will they ever manage? They have three injuries, shocking stuff, I can't remember a crisis like it since Arsenal had four out two weeks ago.

The Scottish equivalent of Chelsea.

For me a big miss would be Mikel John Obi, or John Obi Mikel, or Obi Wan Kenobi or whatever he's called.

He's come on really well this season and will be missed badly.

Alex will turn into a proper player for Chelsea..although I think he never should have left PSV..the man was considered a God there.

i really dislike obi wan kenobi, i dont think hes half as good as he thinks he is, not a patch on makelele who is class in a glass, i understand he is very young, but he just adds nothing in attack and is not as destructive as vieras makeleles gattusos or mascheranos

He's under 20, built like a house, passes as well as any teenager does and he's not afraid to get stuck in.

Temper aside (which could settle as Keane's, Vieira's and Gerrard's did) he'll be a great player.

im not saying he wont become world class.
i am  saying he aint good enough to be in the chelski side just now

There's a reason why Makalele hasn't been a regular feature the last couple of seasons. (slower, older, premiership teams not being able to accomodate someone who doesn't passd the ball forward) I thought Diarra was pushing him out two years ago when he played up at St James.

lol and if you think making one mistake makes a keeper shit so have you.

world class saves from cech last night when it mattered.

as you will see from my post earlier in the thread i agreed they will struggle with whose missing (wouldnt any team) but doomed?

if chelsea are doomed what fate awaits liverpool fergus??

liverpool dont have the same expectations, cechs the best in the world, but hes not on top form, thats all i was saying.

i reckon chelski of two years ago would thrash this chelski

duff robben gudjohnsen drogba lampard makelele terry carvalho cech ferriera bridge

was far better than todays incarnation

your probably not wrong doesnt mean there doomed though does it?

duff robben gudjohnsen drogba lampard makelele terry carvalho cech ferriera bridge

duff not as good week in week out than joe cole and injured more.where is he now?
robben another injury proned player who imo never fulfilled his first season promise, whether moluda is the one to replace him time will tell
gudjohnsen, always done well without setting the world alight but agree i dont think they have found a replacement to play the link between the front man and the midfield like he did.
the rest are still there and have been improved on, belletti is a much better player than ferraira and ashley cole is far more dependable than bridge. so imo both full back positions have been improved

Title: Re: chelski look doomed
Post by: fergus8 on December 20, 2007, 12:40:12 PM
beletti is prob better, ill give u that, dani alves would have been better tho

get crespo back as well forgot about him, i think hes awesome penalty box striker

if drogba leaves chelski should go for luca toni, what a forward

ronaldinho should be bought too, or similar

Saying that Chelsea are doomed shows how little you know about football. Their team is worth £100's of millions, and they are also going to buy Anelka in January.

I think Chelsea will still come 2nd behind ManYoo.

Liverpool who started all of three players who start in our first XI regularly.

Non-regulars: Itandje, Aurelio, Hobbs, Sissoko, Lucas, Crouch, Voronin, Babel.

You had most of your first XI (who are fit) playing bar that Sinclair lad.

Yeah we're fooked obviously. lol

liverpool rested players to save themselves for the fight for 4th ... never has a team been so over rated by their own fans as Liverpool ... well, apart from celtic OBV.

if chelski sign players in january the prediction is void

but i can see a disaster on the horizon for this team, i use the word team loose as u like

Can't speak for any of the other Celtic fans on here but I certainly dont over rate them, I know how bad they are!!!

I don't want to start the whole Celtic in the EPL debate again for the 15 millionth time but if we were playing in it we certainly wouldn't be keeping many of the current squad!
