I'd love it if Gary Neville somehow gets the winner, instant sacking for Grant

Paddy Power: Specials

Missing in Action
Concentrating on rising to the occasion should be Ronaldo's  priority ahead of the Champions League Final. Previously, it's been said that the Portuguese winger disappears like Shergar when playing in the big matches. In retaliation, the 23 year old has hit back insisting he doesn’t care about the claims. "When I hear it said that I do not play well against the big teams, it does not annoy me because I know I am the best," Ron boasted, as we hated him a little more and hoped that Ian Holloway was right when he said "hopefully he's hung like a hamster." If you back him to be the First player to receive physio's attention on the pitch @ 8/1, your money won't disappear? CL Specials

Either team to be 3-0 down at half time and win the game in 90 minutes 500-1

How many times Roman will be shown on TV: 0 (11-2)  1  (9-2)  2  (7-2)  3  (3-1)   4+  (5-4) Steal imo

Manure to win the C/L and Ferguson to retire before start of 08/09 season  13-2

LOL Just read all this when i seen kev and gatso put tonight thought i was daft as i'm sure its tuesday today (i get my days mixed up a lot) ....

Anyho, go for 0-0 then at least when it's the shittest final since the italians at OT(champs lge wise, if its as bad as fa cup last year ill not be paying much attention) you win some money of it.Man u win 1-0 in extra time with the first shot of the game thats been on target.

I really couldn't care who wins it just hope i'm wrong and it's a decent game.

Ashley Cole to choke Claude Mackele with his winner or loser medal after missing the game 20/1.

Shocking challange in training - would have been funnier if it had been Bridge lunging two footed at him.

Don't really understand why the Man U players were having a training session without wearing shin pads either, seems like a pointless risk.

I'm going for 3-2 cracker tomorrow night. I have no idea who to though. The key man of the night could be Ballack I think.

5/4 sounds huge but the following is the problem

If Abramovich is not at the match then all bets will be voided
Applies to 90 mins play only (half-time does not count)

Thats as ambigous as it gets really, I mean does that mean strictly within the 90 mins of the match?

If it doesnt count before the first whistle and only runs up to the final whistle(and doesnt include ht) then its not so good as you need 4 sightings during actual play rather than the one before, one at ht one after the match and anytime Chelsea score which would have made the 5/4 a huge price.

Also Essien to score and Chelsea to win the match.

I think the Ambramovich bet is good value, I imagine he is a bit of a celeb over there and with Russian camermen, he certainly will get caught more than once (and he has confirmed he is going) - hopefully its a swingy game with plenty of goals, as that would probably increase the chance of him being shown, looking a bit miffed.

The abramovic bet looks good value to me, but bobby's post is very valid. With it being in moscow i expect them to shw abramovic probably 5-8 times, obv depending on goals. Whoever backs 4 or over should obv be cheering chelsea on.

Now back to Tonights game (it is tonight isnt it ;) )

I am now going for

Half time DRAW

7/2 on Hills

and i will be having a shilling on both teams to win in extra time, not pens.

In rang Paddy Power up just to clarify their byline and the bet is deffo for Abramovich to be seen between the first whistle and the fulltime whistle not including the HT break so the gtd showing before the match and str8 after wont count.

No idea. Wana see the teams first. Then ill get massively involved.

Flirted with the idea of Under 1.5 goals but 6/4 is no good.

Malouda and Giggs are too big at 30/1 on Betfair to score first if they play. (wait for team news first).

was about to post the same then realised there have been a couple when 1 team has failed to show. ref has to get the other team out, blow to start, let them k.o. then blow final whistle to award them the game.

probably a couple of abandoned games too

Oh I completely agree with the logic behind it, it just seems that corners and goal kicks are so common that 8/1 seems a tad stingy, I'd want about 11/1

Im routing for ya tho, hopefully drogba gets booked on the starting whistle, cut to Roman looking annoyed, Drogba redeems himself and scores, cut to Roman cheering, cut to drogba lifting his shirt up to reveal a "that was for you Roman" t-shirt underneath, cut to Roman looking embarassed, then rooney twats one past them and cut to Roman looking miffed. Then Neville scores the winner in extra time.

Then we both win all our bets

ALMOST.  I cant have Neville scoring the winner unless its smashed across the goal mouth by Rooney at 130 MPH and smacks neville right on the nose and goes in, Neville then passes out and finally comes round 2 days later having lost his memory and believes he plays for Liverpool.

I'd want better than 8/1 on a yellow card before a goal kick or a corner, doesnt seem that good value to moi

in a normal league game, i would agree, but in a game like this with pumped up players and a ref who doesnt know what english footy is about ...8/1 is valloooooooooo in my opinion.

Then we both win all our bets

haha, comedy

Sympathies to the Chelsea fans ... feel sorry for Terry, that clearance from Giggs' shot was just unbelievable, for him to slip like that when taking a Pen was just cruel.

No sympathy for most of the other players though, when you chase refs and continually throw yourself around like they do, you deserve no sympathy, I have never EVER been as happy to see a player sent off as i was when Drogba went.

Like I said, commiserations to the Chelsea fans.

Terry is the worst for chasing the ref.

JT wouldn't have been in the first 5 penalty takers if Drogba had kept his composure.

Man U should have had it buried by half time on chances, Chelsea dominated then on yet Man U still should have won it before pens.

Van Der Sar should have saved two of the earlier pens too..extend your arms man!

right result I felt, as a complete neutral who feels nothing for either

Terry deserved to miss that penalty, it was pure selfishness that made him step up and take it when Anelka was still available. He wanted to score the winner, he wanted to be the hero and slip or not, he had that coming. The commentators are saying bravery, I say stupidity, Mourinio would never have let him take it. Cant remember the last time I cheered so hard than when he missed (Disclaimer, hope he doesnt miss again in an England shirt though)

If Anelka really wanted to take one earlier, I'm sure he could have.

The new thing I learnt today is that this was Alex Ferguson's first ever win in a penalty shootout as a manager in a match that actually mattered (Man U won one in the Charity Shield). That's quite incredible.

What a very remarkable game that was, the most enjoyable moment being the sending off of that disgusting individual who as pointed out by others deprived his team of one of their penalty takers by his own pathetic actions.

Fell sorry for JT but thats how it goes.

One other thing that struck me how silly is it to be taking penalties at 1.30 am Moscow time on a bad pitch and in terrible weather and the really spooky thing was I actually made this point to my mates before the match.

A Chelsea fan dies on match day and goes to heaven in his Chelsea shirt. He knocks on the old pearly gates and out walks St. Peter in a Man Utd scarf.
"Hello mate," says St. Peter, "I'm sorry, no Chelsea fans in heaven."
"What?" exclaims the man, astonished.
"You heard, no Chelsea fans."
"But, but, but, I've been a good man," he replies.
"Oh really," says St. Peter. "What have you done, then?"
"Well," said the guy, "three weeks before I died, I gave ten pounds to the starving children in Africa."
"Oh," says St. Peter, "anything else?"
"Well, two weeks before I died I also gave ten pounds to the homeless."
"Hmmm. Anything else?"
"Yeah. A week before I died I gave 10 pounds to the Albanian orphans."
"Okay," said St. Peter, "you wait here a minute while I have a word with the governor."
Ten minutes pass before St. Peter returns. He looks the bloke in the eye and says, "I've had a word with God and he agrees with me. Here's your thirty quid back, now fuck off."
