Title: Did anyone see the baseball last night Post by: ShatnerPants on September 15, 2008, 10:31:20 AM I've been watching this on and off this season for the first time, and I'm just about beginning to get it, now that the seasons nearing the end.
Last nights game when the White Sox beat Detroit was triffic. White Sox went 7-0 up with John Danks pitching, then when he handed over to the 'pen Detroit quickly came back to 7-7 with Thames hitting a grand slam for the Tigers. Cue lots of panic. Then up steps Dewayne Wise ( a hero's name if ever there was one ) to smack a grand slam of his own. Great stuff. Title: Re: Did anyone see the baseball last night Post by: gatso on September 15, 2008, 11:53:30 AM or could've been the cubs' first no hitter in 36 years. not the biggest news though as I'd imagine most other teams have had one in that time

They showed the final innings last night, and whilst he pitched fine for the first two outs, he was bricking it for the last one. It does seem to be a big thing to them though. Over history they've had 13, with 8 since 1900. They had two in 1972, from different pitchers. The first ever no hitter at a neutral ground, and the 2nd of this season in the majors. The Mets and the Padres have never had one. And the Giants haven't had one since 32 years ago. Gooooooooooooooooo google Title: Re: Did anyone see the baseball last night Post by: Chipleader on September 15, 2008, 05:49:53 PM Im a massive baseball fan and just been signed to play too!
