Title: ok or spew?
Post by: AlexMartin on October 09, 2008, 06:23:14 PM
Alias is a bit of a nutcase, very laggro. Goldendate is a bad tight player.

I think it's okay,

You would assume Goldengate would fold...you're ahead of any Ax which nutcase might chase, and even if he does have a big pair you have 10 outs (barring aces).

Negative as a nutcase could be suspicious and more likely to look you up 77 or 88 call instead of fold...which makes this situation a little worse

Just hope Goldengate doesn't have a set!

dont like goldengates flat here, especially as alias has signalled his hand.

Spewy imo.

Im guessing if you look at just this hand and its results its probably going to be quite a spewy play. But if 33 is at the bottom of your raising range here im guessing when you do raise on similar hands you will be able to stack clowns with there mid pocket pairs who give you no credit.

Are you calling a shove?

Are you calling a shove?

depends who from, alias yes, golden id have to pause and think. 10outs v most of alias's b/3b range on flop + he might hero fold overpair was my thinking.

Doubt he'll fold overpair if he's aggro nutcase.

I think there's a decent chance that you'll get shoved on here. I don't want to be playing a pot this big with just an open-ended and I don't think your bluff gets both players to fold enough of the time for it to be +ev.

Why no raise pf?

Have I misread the hand? I was wondering why you didn't raise it up preflop with your pocket threes?

you'd 3-bet 33 in a 3-way pot?

This is weird. Maybe I've read the hand history wrong. Dude limp early, Alex limps behind with 3-3 and guy in blind bumps it up. That right? If so, then I'd be raising it up preflop rather than limp. If not, apologies, I need to get my eyes tested.

Ok, my bad, but that didn't feature all the threes like my post did

although 2-betting 33 in a 4-way pot would have a certain ring to it.........

Might be worth raising it up preflop and c-bing most flops against a guy like that, unless he has a history of trapping premium.

Raise pre to isolate the tight limper.
