This is weird. Maybe I've read the hand history wrong. Dude limp early, Alex limps behind with 3-3 and guy in blind bumps it up. That right? If so, then I'd be raising it up preflop rather than limp. If not, apologies, I need to get my eyes tested.

no i flat because as i said, goldengate is a pretty damn tight nit

Might be worth raising it up preflop and c-bing most flops against a guy like that, unless he has a history of trapping premium.
