Absolutely! It's great TV, but if Hellmuth, Tran & Co are indulging in plenty of Table Talk - & they were - we want to hear it! It was irritating beyond words that the commentators spoke "over" them. To be fair, it's pretty hard to please all the folks all the time with TV Poker formats, but it's golden to be able to listen to Hellmuth & Co talking through the hands, & it does not need commentary at that moment. Unless it's Mr Ulliott mouthing off as to how hard done by he is, as he did, in which case, go ahead, talk over him. See how difficult we are to please? The greatest commentator ever was Henry Longhurst, because he let the picture tell the Story - a lost art now, I fear. |
