If your feeling the credit crunch, not got $3k spare, then get down to Bridgnorth on Tuesday 12th May. Qualify for just £150 with 100,000 starting chips and blinds starting at 1/2k and 30 minute blinds.

I have asked Beiju in the past, Why don't they do sats for these at Orient like they do for Poker Million? Think it would be a good success.

I'm not sure Vinny, it's a good question - I think it would be a good success as well but obviously needs someone to put alot of time and effort in to manage them.

Just to hijack the thread a little, but I'd love to see a seat for every UK TV comp being given to DTD, that would be a very well attended satellite.

Is there any other way of qualifying for this other than the live satellite in Shropshire?  I live in Yorkshire and it's just not feasible to travel to this.  I've checked on PartyPoker and it isn't mentioned at all, so presumably no online satellites (or are these coming up soon?)

2 Table qualifier for Women's World Open III

We are holding a 2 table sit and go for a seat at the PartyPoker Women's World Open111 at the club on Monday 30th March 8.30pm.
If we get 20 runners it will be about £110 + 5 to enter.

The seat will be for Heat 1 on Sunday 24th May and filmed at The 3 Mills Studios.

Reading through the thread, we have 2 maybe 3 people that will buy in direct to a 300 super sat, and another 2 or 3 that would play a feeder.

Not enough interest tbh.

Kev - looks to me from the above that if blonde was running the only online sats and word was put out that they should easily make the numbers......

if you could provide a week or two of feeder tourneys leading into a grand final with a seat as first prize im sure i rustle up at least 5/10 lady players, a few of which could be tempted into paying the final entrance fee if they didnt qualify in the feeders. can you not stipulate that if entrance fee is not covered because of lack of interest the final will not be played and the feeder winners will play a final for the monies accrued? OR -  could a poker site be persuaded to make up any deficit of funds in return for wearing their logos on the day of filming?

i have set the feeder entry to run with 8 players, but due to buy in requirements, the super sat is 10 seat tables.

Kev perhaps isn't the best person to ask about what comps Party Poker are doing, he doesn't work for them. For what it's worth, I don't think Party are running any online satellites, although they are the sponsors of the main event.

The satellite Kev's trying to organize would be on the blondepoker site, where he's trying to find 10 women who want to pay $300 each and play together for the chance of a seat. You might be interested in that one, Kev would give you more details I'm sure.

Seriously, I don't see a problem with blokes playing the feeders to make the numbers up if they then want to give seat to wife/girlfriend or do a deal with someone if they qualify for the super sat (I beleive there is a precedent for this when Betfred ran sats to the womens tour).  With the amount of feeders, I can't see many of them running otherwise tbh.  What do you think Kev?

I agree with Vinny, I know there was a discussion on it earlier but it's just impossible to police it. I could be playing on Joobie's account tonight and you'd never know. The Women's Poker Tour knew this and thats why they made the decision to let men play in the sats on their own accounts but they could only transfer the seat to a woman.

If it was decided that men could play the feeders, I think there would need to be some sort of caveat that they would have to declare first who they are intending to transfer their seat to the super to should they win.  Would obviously be unfair if someone was getting more than one shot at the seat from the same feeder.

I've no doubt the super sat will run.  AFAIK it is the only online sat being offered for this event, and there are several women who are willing to pay $300 to play that.  The difficulty is that we have 6 $45 feeders set up, as requested by some players.  Filling them is going to be difficult as a lot of people who are planning to play the $300 simply won't bother (I'm going to play one or two myself in an attempt to make numbers up, but still plan on buying into the $300 direct), and because those that do want to play a feeder or two have a fair bit of choice with 6 on offer.

This is not a case of 'let's get someone good (man) to play so the crappy (woman) player has a chance of playing.  It's a suggestion more along the lines of 'let's be pragmatic to get these feeders to run'. 

Also, how exactly is it 'unfair to the women entering the tournament'?

The feeders need 8 to run ... they are women only ... anyone that plays one on a male account will be disqualified regardless of whether they tell me that their wife or girlfriend or next door neighbour was playing the account.

If a male account won a feeder then I would simply transfer the seat to the highest placed female account.


If the feeders dont get 8 players then they dont run... simple as that.

I hope to just transfer the $3k to the organisers so that the winners seat is taken care of ... i am awaiting confirmation... if this isnt possible then the $3k will be paid into the winners account ... this will all be confirmed well before the super sat takes place.

if i played the feeder to make the numbers up and by some fluke qualified for the super satallite where i then proceeded to beat you (unlikely i know) heads up for the seat and then as agreed gave the seat to charlotte to play who has a limited knowledge of poker but will sit happily in thre tournament whilst a player like yourself with a good chance of winning it sits at home and watches it on tv.

is that fair?

I hovered tonight but as the table was empty there didnt seem any point in sitting. I will do a bit of spamming for Monday but unfortunately I cant play as I am taking the kids to see WWE.

I cant afford the super sat so the dream has ended for me :-( I really hope the super sat fills though and look forward to watching it.

:( not looking great for the super sat - only two of us registered.  I've done a bit of spamming on facebook, but don't think it's a wide-enough audience to get it full.  Shame really: as the only online sat out there I really thought it would fill up.  Still, there's a few hours left, so I suppose I should look at the glass being 1/5 full!

The current situation is that we have 13 confirmed players.
It looks as if 14 is the figure required to meet the costs of the TV seat.
Spivver has confirmed today that he will be capping the event at 20 runners (2 tables)

Any runners over and above the required amount to cover the cost of the seat will initiate a cash prize for 2nd and maybe 3rd.

Unfortunately Dave it's a live satelite and it's in Bridgnorth,Shropshire but don't let that stop you putting your mom in, after all she could bag $50,000 if she wins the TV heats. Network rail has a good service, Mad Marty and Spivver I'm sure will look after her.

Hi Fran,

I think if you can get there for 8pm and the game should get going for 8.15pm latest.

From Nottingham your best route would be M42 into Birmingham
M6 for Wolverhampton taking the A41 through Wolves till you pick up the A454 Bridgnorth

It's about 80 miles from yours and I would allow 2 hours
