Title it "Previous projects and fitted cost" Picture + price tells the whole story. I guess you could just add prices to the more pictures section. Not enough web sites give price example and that's the main thing people are bothered about. Scrap the picture with the 2 blokes in the more pictures section. Post by: tikay on March 19, 2009, 12:48:25 AM how about now???? http://fabfencingcy.weebly.com/ MUCH better. But you need to insert a space between paragraphs, otherwise it's too "heavy" & cluttered to read - as I've done below. I've also cleaned up a few typos. I'm not sure about the spelling of "meter" - it's metre in the UK, but it may be "meter" over there. (A "meter" is, for example, a gas meter). We at Fabfencing promise to give you the best value for money island-wide, building up a clientele all over Cyprus. Whether it be supplying and fitting a new gate, or building a fence of more than 3km around one of the islands best known water parks, we have the ecxpertise. We aim to give satisfaction to every customer, giving them what they want, when they want it, at a fair price. Some customers ask why are we lot cheaper and better quality than other fencing companies? Our answer is simple......we are realistic! We can offer reduced rates to customers, knowing that when we price a job we know we are going to do it. We try our very best to explain to customers that timber here in Cyprus is a bit more expensive than the U.K, but please don't think that our labour charges are more than the U.K, they are not. I personally get annoyed when going to draw up a quote at a customers house, knowing that they have already been quoted a ridiculous price by another company. I see this everyday, people being quoted for 50m of fencing @ €80-€90 per meter, thats nearly €4,500 for fencing it's not fair, our fencing starts at €40 per meter and very rarely goes above €50 per meter. We hide nothing from our customers, a full breakdown of costs can be provided to every customer. What I personally promise is that whatever you have built by Fabfencing, it's built to last with a full 10 year written guarantee. You only have to see what just a few of our customers say about us, then we will let you be the judge. We would also like to let you all kow that although we are based in Kapparis on the East coast, we work all over the island, from Ayia Napa to Paphos, Nicosia, Larnaca, leaving a trail of very happy & pleased customers. Please take the time to look around my site at some pictures, to give you some indication of our quality and pricing, thanks for looking, Regards, James. Title: Re: rate my new website..,.,,. The personal stuff ('me and my mates' and 'I personally get angry', etc.) looks unprofessional to me. I think the basics are there, but it needs a lot of tweaking to look like a smooth, professional company operating island-wide rather than a one man band run on a shoestring. Perception is everything and first impressions matter! As Groucho said, 'Integrity is the thing. Fake that, and you've got it made.' If you do nothing else, remove the surplus 'c' in 'ecxpertise' right at the start. Being a world-class pedant, I would go elsewhere after reading two sentences if I saw that. I can't comment on the visual/graphics side of things - I'm useless at that (and erecting fencing). Title: Re: rate my new website..,.,,. Post by: EvilPie on March 19, 2009, 01:48:19 PM The personal stuff ('me and my mates' and 'I personally get angry', etc.) looks unprofessional to me. I agree with this 100%. "Me and my wife went to visit........blah blah blah........" "Me and the boys ended up staying............blah blah blah.....after speaking to someone in a bar.........blah blah blah" Anbody who doesn't know you doesn't care. They just want to buy a fence. Hope this doesn't sound harsh. Just being honest mate. :)up Looking much better now though. Title: Re: rate my new website..,.,,. Post by: tikay on March 19, 2009, 02:13:06 PM There are still numerous commas where there should be new sentences. Well we are getting really heavy now, but yes, that's also true. "I, personally" is bad. "Personally" is just fine. "Me and my mates", or "me & my wife" is horrendous, & one of the most common mistakes ever. It's "my mates & I", (though "mates" is awful in this context) or "my wife & I". NEVER "my mates and ME", or "my wife and ME". Good to see you 12bar - we don't see/hear enough of you these days. You ok? Title: Re: rate my new website..,.,,. Post by: thetank on March 20, 2009, 04:37:34 PM I like the imperfect grammar, polish it too much and you eradicate all traces of your personality which would be a shame.
I also like the way you get into talking about the numbers straight away. Combined with the imperfect prose, this conveys to me a certain openness and honesty about the buisness that a chiselled professionally produced site might lack. I'd totally keep the "we done it for $45 per metre" Title: Re: rate my new website..,.,,.
