Title: big chip hand Post by: Ironside on June 12, 2009, 06:52:45 AM 6 players left
blinds 800/1600 you are chip leader with 140k of 410k in play utg makes it 5600 total you have 6s 6h and call flop come 9s 4s 2s you check utg pushes in for 47.5 total you have him on a bigger pair or a bigger flush draw but not both you have played with hm for years and know he would milk a made flush or an over pair with flush draw do you take the gamble? Title: Re: big chip hand Post by: boldie on June 12, 2009, 07:57:37 AM No.
Are you in the BB, BTW? Hate everything about the way villain has played the hand thusfar BTW..Raise too big pre and the shove on the flop is simply ridic. What did you think he had pre when you called and what was your plan for post flop action at the time? Title: Re: big chip hand Post by: MANTIS01 on June 12, 2009, 10:08:50 AM If there are 6 players left and you have 1/3 of the chips in play you have a big advantage. But if you use your chips to call oop with 6-6 pre-flop and then check call villain's shove with this small pair you haven't used that advantage at all. If you take the initiative and raise this guy pre you make the hand much simpler for yourself, you play to the strength of your situation, and you give the tough decisions to your oppo instead.

You dont really need to get involved in much just yet in with your stack Title: Re: big chip hand Post by: EvilPie on June 12, 2009, 04:48:05 PM If there are 6 players left and you have 1/3 of the chips in play you have a big advantage. Punish his stupid high raise by 3 betting the **** out of him. Stacks look about right for a shove. You'll get him to lay down a lot of hands that are beating you and a good few that you're racing against.
