Greenland is now a country in it's own right. They became independant last week.

It's not in Europe, it doesn't begin with a vowel, nor does it border Germany. Just thought I'd mention it.

Snap - can we get another QM to realise their quiz is a bit rubbish and to do it again?
Questions are meant to have at least one obvious answer. This seems like a very specialist quiz. Irish whiskey drinkers who like to travel will do very well.

+1.  although in my dream last night a whiskey advert came on TV and I said to whoever I was with 'look - that's a diageo one'.  fml.

5 and 8 are tough

5, I used to study Diageo but still find it tough

8, wtf? too specialist unless you hail from there

14 is just incendiary/provocative. I refuse to be told I am wrong on Londonderry again when I 100% know I am right and for that reason I am contemplating boycotting this

Oh dear, I think I could make a good guess on most of the questions and receive the largest sheep score ever but I have never heard of Diageo, is it a Casino in Las Vagas or some other establishment where whiskey flows free and easy? :dontask:

It's a drinks company

So you could just guess a whisky brand and hope it's one of theirs.

I realise that a one word answer is neither polite nor clever and for that I apologise unreservedly . Your comments are very welcome and I have taken into account a perceived level of cranial intelligence in the formulation of the questions. If my perception is so wide of the mark that is a real problem. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I really don’t give a flying the questions remain. Feel free to continue the abuse, it will be taken on board and suitably recorded for future posterity.

I got lucky with question 8 as a while ago Ger had asked a question on his blog and I had done some research and this president was all in that research.

The whisky one is not easy as I dislike the stuff but a guess is better than nothing.

Thought the questions were quite good really and should make for an interesting reveal.

I think I've managed a good attempt at a correct answer to all these questions.

The sad thing is that it looks like this week will yet again be won by a googler. QMs really need to get a grip when it comes to making questions. RSQ questions are supposed to have easy answers and more difficult answers. Some of these have only the former.

The gatso method of making 20 questions and then removing all the wank ones ftw.

Title: Re: Reverse Sheep 24 -

are u serious

1-4 easy and eminently getable
5 tough but guessable
6-7 easy
8 -- passable
9-13 so easy its laughable
14 should be a good debate -- but you might be surprised
15 unless u live in outer mongolia you can also get most of these

get a grip, get a grip -- sigh just sigh

And whatever you say you cant stop googlers

why am I bothering to reply - rest assured random penalties will be applied in a unfair and completly biased fashion on Tuesday

are u serious

1-4 easy and eminently getable

1-3 are fine. 4 is shit. there's 1 obvious answer, beyond that I wouldn't have a clue

5 tough but guessable

wtf is a diageo?

6-7 easy

6 is ok, 7 is a farce as you're going to mark it wrongly. why not word the question so that it fits the way you plan to mark?

8 -- passable

passable as in barely acceptable or as in people should use their pass? I know a total of zero answers for this

9-13 so easy its laughable

made even easier by the fact that we've already had 2 of the questions

14 should be a good debate -- but you might be surprised

sigh, lol

15 unless u live in outer mongolia you can also get most of these

srs? I've not heard of most of them and the ones I would've gone for are not on it

renewed objection

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netherlands

The Netherlands is often called Holland, which is formally incorrect as North and South Holland are actually two of its twelve provinces (see terminology of "the Netherlands"). The word Dutch is used to refer to the people, the language, and anything pertaining to the Netherlands. The difference between the noun and the adjective is a pecularity of the English language and does not exist in the Dutch language.

sorry, but its just rank bad QMing. You can only say "my decision is final" when it is plainly wrong if you lack the confidence to back up your contention with real facts. As you have none you resort to sophistry.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euro_banknotes

€1 and €2 notes
Italy, Greece, Austria and Slovenia have asked several times to introduce lower denominations of euro notes.[14] The ECB has stated that "printing a €1 note is more expensive (and less durable) than minting a €1 coin". On 18 November 2004 the ECB decided definitively that there was insufficient demand across the Eurozone for very low denomination banknotes. On 25 October 2005, however, more than half of the MEPs supported a motion calling on the European Commission and the European Central Bank to recognise the definite need for the introduction of €1 and €2 banknotes.[15] However it must be noted that the European Central Bank is not directly answerable to the Parliament or the Commission, and will therefore possibly ignore the motion.

Nonsense, they're different brands

" A brand is a name or trademark connected with a product or producer." From wiki: brand

Do you think Diageo have different trademark filings for the different 'variations'? Of course they do, they're different brands. When you were reading up on marketing you probably didn't come across 'brands vs variations' too much eh? Cos they call the different 'variations' brands...

Farce! TM

the question is M6 travels through, so if it goes thru dumfries and galloway at any point it is therefore a pass, not a fail, doesnt matter that it changes to A74

In March 2006, after 15-years of debate[4], the government authorised the construction of a 6-mile (9.7 km) extension of the M6 from its then northern terminus near Carlisle to the Anglo-Scottish border at Gretna (the so-called "Cumberland Gap"), where it links into the existing A74(M).[

Gretna Football Club were a Scottish football club that represented the town of Gretna, Dumfries and Galloway.

The M6 motorway is the longest motorway in the United Kingdom. It runs from junction 19 of the M1 near Rugby in central England, passes between Coventry and Nuneaton, through Birmingham, Walsall and Stafford and near the major cities of Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent. The motorway has a major junction onto the M56 and M62 at Warrington, giving access to Manchester and Liverpool. The M6 then heads north past Preston and Lancaster. After the latter two cities it passes through Cumbria with some parts very close to the edge of the Lake District, and then passes Carlisle, before terminating on the A74(M) near the Scottish border.

a fail i'm afraid
