Title: Is Barry Greenstein on the money? Post by: Pyso on July 14, 2009, 06:41:31 PM In his book, 'Ace On The River', Barry Greenstein says that he's had a winning session 75% of the time when playing live no limit cash poker.
What do we think of this - is this the best we can hope for? Do any Blondes do better? Is the reality for most winning players nearer 55%, 60%, 65% or 70% ? I'm just curious after going over my data and seeing a win rate that is very acceptable but not as high as 75%. (Interestingly, Barry does say that he only wins about half the time in the high stakes games where the standard of players is better). It seems to me, and I wonder if blondes agree, that the real key is not so much this 'winning percentage', but making your winning sessions larger than your losing ones (ie knowing when to fold and when to quit a session). Anyway, does Greenstein actually play the highest stake games other than when on HSP?
