In his book, 'Ace On The River', Barry Greenstein says that he's had a winning session 75% of the time when playing live no limit cash poker.

What do we think of this - is this the best we can hope for?
Do any Blondes do better?
Is the reality for most winning players nearer 55%, 60%, 65% or 70% ?

I'm just curious after going over my data and seeing a win rate that is very acceptable but not as high as 75%. (Interestingly, Barry does say that he only wins about half the time in the high stakes games where the standard of players is better).

It seems to me, and I wonder if blondes agree, that the real key is not so much this 'winning percentage', but making your winning sessions larger than your losing ones (ie knowing when to fold and when to quit a session).

i fully beleive him, couple of blokes who play my local dealers choice who hardly ever lose, everyone is so bad there is no need to take risks with the better players.

I am 99% sure Karl has a blonde account called "Dry'em".

If this poster isn't Karl I think he should be forced to use another name on here.

not really strange when we get regular joke/imposter/fake accounts. I'm hardly likely to assume you have the same very distinctive name am I?

ban him for having a fake account, or cracking wise with you, or saying greenstein was a nit or posting at exactly 6:59:48.

Not really strange.

1. I have lived 41 years and never heard of anyone with the surname Mahrenholz except the famous one, quite a conincidence if the second one I come across is also called "Karl".

2. I would guess less than 1% of posters on here use their name as their username on blonde.

Weighing up the evidence I suggest you are lying and you aren't really called Karl Mahrenholz.
