Title: Borderline or routine call? Post by: TightEnd on July 30, 2009, 04:44:20 PM blinds are 600-1200
50 players are left in a Live MTT 20 minute clock so quite turbo in a live environment. 18 paid. Hero has 25,000 Villain 1 12,000 Villan 2 3,200 Average is 30,000 Everyone is under clock/stack pressure in this with few big stacks around Villain 2 is in the bb for 1,200 with 2,000 behind. Newish player, should be priced in with most but hasn't moved in to date as he has blinded down, so assume pretty clueless Villain 1 is young, aware and confident. He pushes in UTG+2 Hero looks at 8d 8h in the cut off Call? Does the fact that the BB should be priced in to call with almost anything affect Hero's decision to call, given that Villain 1 will ahve to show his hand (and therefore might be said to be less likely to be pushing with filth)? Title: Re: Borderline or routine call? Post by: EvilPie on July 31, 2009, 01:23:34 PM Do a Hollywood style dwell, ask for a count of BB's stack, raise to exactly that amount, snap a shove from one of the others.
If another one flats don't worry about it cus it's all going in on the flop anyway. (Unless it's AKQ possibly) Title: Re: Borderline or routine call? (Unless it's AKQ possibly) you haven't read the op have you? bb has less than the guy who's already shoved Title: Re: Borderline or routine call? Post by: EvilPie on July 31, 2009, 02:20:41 PM Do a Hollywood style dwell, ask for a count of BB's stack, raise to exactly that amount, snap a shove from one of the others. If another one flats don't worry about it cus it's all going in on the flop anyway. (Unless it's AKQ possibly) you haven't read the op have you? bb has less than the guy who's already shoved I haven't finished yet. Then there's a big kerfuffle on the table as people say you are now forced to raise because you have announced it. You look really upset and say with a sigh "I'll just raise minimum then" This keeps 3200 back which is the other guy's FE ldo. Button or SB now try to iso shove (with their lower stacks) and you fist pump yeehaa as your sooper dooper angle shoot pays off handsomely. Your hand is now disguised so well that you might get action from the button and SB as well. Title: Re: Borderline or routine call? Post by: gatso on July 31, 2009, 02:27:31 PM good plan then
very venue dependent though. if you were in ireland the min raise would be bigger and the guy's fe would only be 1k. make sure you know the local rules before trying this sort of advanced play boys and girls |
