Title: Oasis spilt Post by: Josedinho on August 29, 2009, 08:51:45 AM Pretty gutted. "A band that defined a generation".
Hope Noel carries on making music. Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: bolt pp on August 29, 2009, 08:57:06 AM i dont reckon it's a proper split, this always happends, happend every other week in the 90's
If he had thought about it for a long time and said he felt it had just come time to move on i'd believe it but when it's because of a barny with liam before a show and he says he cant work with him anymore you get the feeling they'll be doing shows again within a couple of weeks as usual Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: mondatoo on August 29, 2009, 09:03:25 AM Big fan but there a joke for not finishing the tour off takes the piss especially as they will just get back together in a month or so
Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: Longy on August 29, 2009, 10:27:00 AM I was a massive fan until 3 or 4 years ago, to be honest I think the music has got tired and boring in recent albums. I still love the early stuff, the thing I loved about them in the early days was that even the b sides had some great songs on them. The news doesn't really disappoint me and I always thought be interesting to listen to Noel do solo stuff.
As Bolt says they will probably get back together, Noel and Liam have always had a stormy friendship. Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: G1BTW on August 29, 2009, 03:34:45 PM [ ] Great band [ ] I'm gutted

Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: Karabiner on August 30, 2009, 12:37:22 AM I am proud to confess that amongst my extensive music collection I have not a single example of their oeuvre.
Although I must admit to singing along to a couple of their ballads on occasion when under the influence. Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: Kev B on August 30, 2009, 02:53:41 PM How can they split except for the two brothers having a tiff. The band is the two of them plus whoever they decide to hire innit.
They are still the best live band I have seen in almost 40 years though. Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: G1BTW on August 30, 2009, 04:31:33 PM I am proud to confess that amongst my extensive music collection I have not a single example of their oeuvre. +1 Didn't buy none of their albums neither Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: thetank on August 30, 2009, 05:13:00 PM I am proud to confess that amongst my extensive music collection I have not a single example of their oeuvre. Title: Re: Oasis spilt Post by: donerkebab on August 30, 2009, 10:02:09 PM Greatest band of our generation - the modern Beatles - possibly some similarities great 1st/2nd album - crappy 4th to present album with the odd gem single buried within.....
