Title: fml Post by: thetank on July 29, 2010, 11:08:52 PM Dear Thomas,
Thank you for applying for the position of Crew Member. We've got a really rigorous selection process at McDonald's and a large number of people apply to work with us each day. After careful consideration, we're sorry to inform you that we won't be inviting you to attend the next stage of our recruitment process. Title: Re: fml Post by: boldie on July 30, 2010, 11:45:54 AM :( I take it you're sad because you never got to hear Tank ask "Do you want fries with that?" or "It's Pepsi, is that OK?" Title: Re: fml Post by: Claw75 on July 30, 2010, 12:14:33 PM :( I take it you're sad because you never got to hear Tank ask "Do you want fries with that?" or "It's Pepsi, is that OK?" was hoping I might be able to cadge some free quarter pounders Title: Re: fml Post by: rex008 on July 30, 2010, 02:31:05 PM :( I take it you're sad because you never got to hear Tank ask "Do you want fries with that?" or "It's Pepsi, is that OK?" That must be why he failed the interview - McDonald's only sell coke (in the UK, anyway). Title: Re: fml Post by: Claw75 on July 30, 2010, 02:39:40 PM :( I take it you're sad because you never got to hear Tank ask "Do you want fries with that?" or "It's Pepsi, is that OK?" That must be why he failed the interview - McDonald's only sell coke (in the UK, anyway). I'm sure boldie knows that - think he did it deliberately to make out he's too posh to eat at McDonalds. Remember when they used to sell 'McDonald's Cola', and had to check that was ok with you everytime you asked for a coke? Title: Re: fml Post by: thetank on July 30, 2010, 05:08:17 PM 4 years experience in McDonalds, was promoted 3 times, employee of the quarter, good references. Also have 1 years experience as a salaried manager at Burger King and a decent reference from there. Didn't turn up drunk to the interview.
i think it's cos I'm black, who do I sue? Title: Re: fml Post by: bobAlike on July 30, 2010, 05:08:58 PM Remember when they used to sell 'McDonald's Cola', and had to check that was ok with you everytime you asked for a coke? It's off the CV, but came up in the interview as this wifey was like a bloodhound going through my employment history in the last 10 years. If there was a gap she wanted to know why, if I said I was a student she wanted to know what I was doing for money. Got a gig now anyway so not really bothered. Moah money, moah benefits, less stigma. Title: Re: fml Post by: rex008 on July 30, 2010, 09:03:07 PM But no free Big Macs. FAIL.
Title: Re: fml Post by: sovietsong on July 30, 2010, 10:13:16 PM you actually put your real employment history on your CV
