I've only just realised... why's it guaranteed at €80,000 and not €81,000? :)

Good luck to all blondes!

Good luck to all blondes!

Obviously no real confidence in selling out.

Poor effort.

Say it ain't so!

True I'm afraid.

I got off to a good start too when after opening to 250 in level two (50/100) with 6, 6, I called the 3-bet to 600.

The 6,6,5 flop was not unfavourable and I c/called both it and the turn before betting 3500 on the A river which was obliged with a call. Unfortunately that was the high point of the tourney for me.

I exited when the loosest player on the table(who else?) rivered a straight and I snap paid him with 2-pair.

Personally I missed the live updates/updaters, it just doesn't seem the same without them.

Quality writing!

Yes, sad that the blonde DTD Updates are no more, it deffo takes the edge off these terrific Events. I know several players who were in 2 minds whether to go or not, & the lack of Updates swung it. But the Event sold out, I'm pleased to see, so it made no odds.

Honestly there were quite a few players who were asking why there were no updates.

If you got one from satting in and make the final, you get an extra 5k on top of whatever prize money you get........

There were golden chip online sats

All qualifiers from those "won" a golden chip

If they hit the final they win an extra £5k from DTD

Thus the bubble dynamics could be interesting.

geeged.

Pretty ridiculous day but I played really well so I can't feel too bad.

After I doubled up I picked up Ad Ac, opened to 550 at 100/200 getting one caller, flop came Th 9h 7h and immediately I think I'm gonna do my stack here. I bet 700, he clicks it back and I call. Turn is Kd and I check-call 2k, river is 9s and I check again and he jams for 4,725. Really wanted to fold but I there's too many hands that he can raise flop with and now be value-shoving. Anyway he showed Qh Jh.

Anyway, I drop back down to 10,000 and grinded it up back to like 17,000 again. I open Ac Jc in sb and bb calls, Flop comes J-4-4r, I bet 600, he flats. Turn is a K, I check and he bets 600, I call. River is an offsuit 3, I check again and he just snap-jams for 5k. No clue what he has here, probably should've folded but I was so confused I called and get shown A-4 for my trouble. Then lady at the table opens to 700 @ 100/200/25 with about 8,000 back. I just peel button with Kd Kh and we see a 8d 6c 4h flop, she leads 700, I make it 2,200, she tanks then jams and I snap. She flips Ac Kc and hits Jc turn and Qc river.

Drop to about 5k and grind back up to about 7k at the break for 200/400/50 level, manage to get up to about 15k without a showdown, then go completely card dead and get 3bet off several hands. My table gets broken and have to spend 10 minutes deciding how the new one players, it looks tougher but then someone raise/folds 2,200 off an 8k stack at 400/800 and I don't feel so bad. Finally hijack shoves 14k at 600/1,200 and I snap in SB with 8h 8d, he has Qs 9s and obv flops the flush.

Cliffs: Played pretty well, ran like shit.

I'm going back to day 2 with a just-above-average 75.5k. Makes me around 40/111 by my reckoning. My stack had more ups and downs than the blackpool big dipper. Including losing half in the last level (AQ < AK), then pretty much doubling up when I fished a flush. Had blonde DavidF to my right for a lot of the day. It was him I sucked the flush out on, so I'm keeping my head down :). He finished on 25k-ish I think.

Vast amounts of terribad play. The Golden Chippers on our table were ridiculously nitty. One didn't play anything worse than JJ all day, seriously. He folded TT to a shorty shove in the last level. Bonkers. Managed to get enough good hands to make it through though.

Oh, and Dewi is still in as well. 35k I think he said.

Made it to day 2. 165k, should have been more but I can't win a flip to save my life. Biggest hand of the night. 1200/2400 i make it 5.5k with   Tc Th. 1 caller (who i had history with, he wasn't best pleased when i called him down with bottom pair and was good...) anyways. flop  2s 6s  Td I bet 5.5k, he flats. Turn  9d. I check. he bets 8k, i go 28k he jams for 65k, i have 85k behind and snap. He shows.  7h 8h... sigh. DEUCE on the river for a delicious boat.. Wiiiiiiiiiiiii.

GL all Blondes left in, wish i had a golden chip...

Is it just me or has anyone else lost interest in the tourneys at DTD since blonde stopped updating them?

Just spotted this update On the DTD site, looks like there is a link to facebook but I haven't looked.

http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/blog.php

Tighty's updates may be the best in the business but I sure know who I'd rather be interviewed by.

Ddin't you just!

Was good to have you to my left though - I could have been in trouble against someone good  ;)

Back with 27,700 and just three double-ups off the chip lead...

19 Remain and only 3 Golden Chips

by Danielle Cook on 23rd January 2011, 18:05 Unique Views: 33

So, its getting close now!! Very exciting stuff.

19 players left in but only 3 have a Golden Chip!

Unfortunately, since my last post Andrew Wayman, a regular at the club and golden chip holder was knocked out.

James Perry, another of our Golden Chip winners has just won a huge pot with pocket Queens.

Good Luck Guys!!!

Another com day, turned up at midday to play cash for an hour or two with Jen before getting the train home, only just got on the train now obv.

Was having fun in the cash game, then lost Kc Jh vs Aspades 3s on an Ahrt Qs Ts flop, same guy then gets his stack in with Kd Td against Jen's Ahrt Th on a Kc Qd Jd board, obv she holds.

£50 got 270 runners which was ridic but good fun, got a bit unlucky in two hands, one where I was sure I was beating a guy's range when he made a squeeze but he had picked up a dominating hand and the second time where I heroed off my 15bb stack in the bb with Ks Td at 400/800 after the button limped and the small blind (same guy as before who could play) shoved with Qc 7c for around the same stack as mine.

Pretty sick place to bust, be nice to know how he went out, maybe he had been folding to FT for like 2 hour and just got blinded down n was forced all in. Be pretty epic if he found a pair n punted a 30bb stack off squeezing light

Easy fold, given the +£5k for 8th, unless he was forced to play.

We'll never know, probably

'Easy fold' wouldn't be the words I'd use but it's a definite possibility. Depends on stack sizes etc.

Very good comp. Will be writing a TR for my blog and will post it here when it's live :D

Came 5th, was a good tourny, but not the best FT for me.. Ran JJ into BB's AA for 1.6 million pot, then i get 3 bet shoved on with 55, i call AK, they hold which was a 1.5 million pot, then i get it in with A9 os (8 bigs) and run into Sb's jacks. jack first card out. good night Vienna.  They snap dealt after i got knocked out... I proposed a deal with 6 left when i had 1.3  million. One guy snap refused, saying he was here to win it, He went out next. by which time i was crippled.

Well played to all the Blondes. Got to put a few faces to names today. Wish there was a bounty on those Golden Chips. Sent a few home. Sigh.

UL with the 99 Dewi. It's rare i get a hand, even rarer it holds.

Thank god for the blonde updates! The official dtd ones are absolutely shocking.

Danielles blog was not supposed to be Blonde style updates , just following the Golden Chips throughout the event.

The Last Golden Chip was James Perry , he called all in with QQ v AK with approx 30BB .

By the way , we would be delighted to have Blonde updating our events if you guys would like to find some way to fund them.

Cheers

Yeh I think its a bit harsh to criticise the "live updates" when it clearly wasnt a live update

Agree with everything posted.

However I think moving forward it's important DTD get some sort of live reporting in place, be it from the help of Blonde, AWOP or even setting up their own forum/reporting team.

At the end of the day if they're running a few 800+ runner events a year, everyones friends and family want to be kept in the loop with whats going on. A number of people at the event (including myself) were Tweeting or posting on their local poker forums because there just wasn't any decent form of reporting.

I think the potential of having 2,000+ new people (assuming 2-3 people are seeking updates per player) hitting the DTD website over the course of a weekend event outweighs the small cost DTD would outlay to get their updates up and running.

That was only a minor negative (no reporting) in what was a great event/weekend. Everything ran smoothly, players were attending to when required, etc...

Welldone DTD.

Leather me old mucka, he is past help. he is a complete donkfish and it is rare he makes it past the first level. Great at staking though! Obv he took Monday off work as he expected to be up all night Sunday celebrating. Funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

Im guessing Tony Nicholls snap refused, that guy would never deal any ft imo. Good player..Nice guy.

Dewi sir you are a gentleman, had the pleasure of doubling your QQ up with AK and the displeasure of hearing you fold 99 when I needed a double up with 1010. Ul matey, thought you would FT for sure.

Hey ya'll just reading back on this, thanks for all the support!   ;hattip;

Titbeam has a mountain and is too lazy to stack properly so had to guess at 450k

+

Looking sharp today I might add.

I had just won a massive pot as you walked over, all very unfair! I tarped someones tp with my 2 pair.

And also I jammed and busted with the  Ahrt  9c fwiw.

Pretty sick place to bust, be nice to know how he went out, maybe he had been folding to FT for like 2 hour and just got blinded down n was forced all in. Be pretty epic if he found a pair n punted a 30bb stack off squeezing light

The guy was on my right for a while before he busted and we were the only two chip holders left. He was playing really well, managed to get lucky ai winning a flip and holding a 4:1  But he was playing solid/aggressive and there was no real bullying etc.

He was being a bit of a sicko too by having his chip as his card protector throughout when you didn't have to.
