Out in 10th. Ouch, that's gotta sting.
what sort of situation aren't you just sitting there praying to ladder?
QQ UTG?
Easy fold, given the +£5k for 8th, unless he was forced to play.
We'll never know, probably
'Easy fold' wouldn't be the words I'd use but it's a definite possibility. Depends on stack sizes etc.

Came 5th, was a good tourny, but not the best FT for me.. Ran JJ into BB's AA for 1.6 million pot, then i get 3 bet shoved on with 55, i call AK, they hold which was a 1.5 million pot, then i get it in with A9 os (8 bigs) and run into Sb's jacks. jack first card out. good night Vienna. They snap dealt after i got knocked out... I proposed a deal with 6 left when i had 1.3 million. One guy snap refused, saying he was here to win it, He went out next. by which time i was crippled.
Well played to all the Blondes. Got to put a few faces to names today. Wish there was a bounty on those Golden Chips. Sent a few home. Sigh.
UL with the 99 Dewi. It's rare i get a hand, even rarer it holds.

Thank god for the blonde updates! The official dtd ones are absolutely shocking.
Danielles blog was not supposed to be Blonde style updates , just following the Golden Chips throughout the event.
The Last Golden Chip was James Perry , he called all in with QQ v AK with approx 30BB .
By the way , we would be delighted to have Blonde updating our events if you guys would like to find some way to fund them.
Cheers

Yeh I think its a bit harsh to criticise the "live updates" when it clearly wasnt a live update

Agree with everything posted.
However I think moving forward it's important DTD get some sort of live reporting in place, be it from the help of Blonde, AWOP or even setting up their own forum/reporting team.
At the end of the day if they're running a few 800+ runner events a year, everyones friends and family want to be kept in the loop with whats going on. A number of people at the event (including myself) were Tweeting or posting on their local poker forums because there just wasn't any decent form of reporting.
I think the potential of having 2,000+ new people (assuming 2-3 people are seeking updates per player) hitting the DTD website over the course of a weekend event outweighs the small cost DTD would outlay to get their updates up and running.
That was only a minor negative (no reporting) in what was a great event/weekend. Everything ran smoothly, players were attending to when required, etc...
Welldone DTD.

Leather me old mucka, he is past help. he is a complete donkfish and it is rare he makes it past the first level. Great at staking though! Obv he took Monday off work as he expected to be up all night Sunday celebrating. Funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

Im guessing Tony Nicholls snap refused, that guy would never deal any ft imo. Good player..Nice guy.
Dewi sir you are a gentleman, had the pleasure of doubling your QQ up with AK and the displeasure of hearing you fold 99 when I needed a double up with 1010. Ul matey, thought you would FT for sure.

Titbeam has a mountain and is too lazy to stack properly so had to guess at 450k

Looking sharp today I might add.
I had just won a massive pot as you walked over, all very unfair! I tarped someones tp with my 2 pair.
And also I jammed and busted with the
fwiw.

Pretty sick place to bust, be nice to know how he went out, maybe he had been folding to FT for like 2 hour and just got blinded down n was forced all in. Be pretty epic if he found a pair n punted a 30bb stack off squeezing light
The guy was on my right for a while before he busted and we were the only two chip holders left. He was playing really well, managed to get lucky ai winning a flip and holding a 4:1 But he was playing solid/aggressive and there was no real bullying etc.
He was being a bit of a sicko too by having his chip as his card protector throughout when you didn't have to.
