Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Josedinho on January 26, 2011, 12:17:52 PM Got the Joker to win the lot. One Time Djokovic can do it tomorrow morn! Agree with what Josedinho said re: Muzza, i don't want to see him cry again. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Horneris on January 26, 2011, 12:38:45 PM #Nadal refuses to talk about the injury - 'I don't know nothing, and out of respect for David I don't talk about this. Even after what must have been an excruciating press conference for #Nadal, he looked the media in the eye and said: 'Thank you very much.' Really didn't fancy Murray's chances at the start - didn't think he'd be able to beat Melzer, then Soderling, then Nadal, then Federer/Djokovic in succession. However, the way the draw's worked out i can't see him having a better chance to do it. Fed & Djok are both playing really well, so could be a long match. Fingers crossed anyway. Oh, and assuming he makes the final, I reckon he'll be crying win or lose... Only had 2 bets, that one and Davydenko to win it @ 120.0. He went out first round despite going off at half the price, pretty embarrassing. Was gona have big bets on Djokovic @ 13.5 and Murray @ 11.0 but bottled it, now wish i had. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: ACE2M on January 26, 2011, 05:19:31 PM how much u want? Fancy laying me some Fedderer at 11/8? £80? Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Hairydude on January 27, 2011, 11:37:48 AM Djokovic serving for the match in straight sets;
What odds you think you'd have got for Nadal and fed to both get beat the past 2 days in straight sets? 1000/1+? Murrays best chance to win an open? Fed looks of the boil but Djok playing well- is fed injured too? Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Horneris on January 27, 2011, 11:44:53 AM Fed isn't injured, hes getting older (in top top tennis terms) and Djoko is electric.
I expected Novak to win, but not like this! Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Horneris on January 27, 2011, 11:49:55 AM Ferrer 3-0 was 25/1, Djoko 11/1, so not 1000 but 311s.
Defo Andy's best chance to win a slam that he will ever have. Before the tourn ppl were saying he had no chance, he has to beat Soderling, Nadal then Federer. Turned out its Dolgopolov, Ferrer, Djokovic. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Acidmouse on January 27, 2011, 11:54:58 AM Djokovic pls dont win your a fuking *****.
Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Hairydude on January 27, 2011, 11:59:01 AM I honestly thought with it being a slam it woulda been about 30-33/1 for straight sets
Hope Murray can beat Ferrer tomorrow cuz a Murray Vs Djokovic final would good viewing Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: ACE2M on January 27, 2011, 12:23:43 PM how much u want? Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: ACE2M on January 28, 2011, 11:12:06 AM couldn't resist 1/1 on murray in the 2nd set. come on muzz.

Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Horneris on January 28, 2011, 01:38:48 PM Cheers guys.
Jossedinho, he was 11/4 for the tournament a set down. The market still had faith in him, he was still 4/5 to win the match. He did reach 2.9 for the match at the highest when set point down in the 2nd, so i guess at that exact second you may have been able to get like 5s for the tourn. Amused me that in his interview he said he lost track of the score and at that point thought it was 3-4 adv ferrer and not set point. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: TheChipPrince on January 28, 2011, 02:10:50 PM Top stuff BH, pleased for ya.

Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: sledge13 on January 30, 2011, 10:09:24 AM Murray pathetic effort.
Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Horneris on January 30, 2011, 10:31:48 AM Murray pathetic effort. This. He's supposed to be in his tennis prime fitness wise. He hasn't had a real tough match yet this Grand Slam (hes only lost sets) so he should be feeling good and fresh. Hes looked tired since the 3rd game. He can keep winning these ATP tourns all over the world played over 3 sets but he won't be remembered for them. Not even for a minute. Its looking like he will never have the physical attributes for 5 set tennis with these guys. He has just broken to lead 1-0 in the 3rd. If he could just hold onto his serve and take this set then Novak is not Nadal, he has the ability to get really angry with himself and implode. I doubt Murray will hold his serve to take the set tho. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: sledge13 on January 30, 2011, 10:35:52 AM OMFG, that Keys fella could smash better than Murray!

Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: buzzharvey22 on January 30, 2011, 11:59:04 AM wonder what odds bookies would have gave for murray to never win a grandslam when he first burst on to the scene.
Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: TightEnd on January 30, 2011, 12:37:23 PM Conclusion has to be Murray is a choker. Great player, but temeprament too fragile for the really big ones.
Losing a 5 setter fine, but losing show no bottle, poor. A shame Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Somerled on January 30, 2011, 02:20:16 PM Conclusion has to be Murray is a choker. Coming back from a set down against someone below you in the world rankings (ie a game you should win) does not dispel accusations of being a choker. Getting beaten 3-0 in the final against a player who has basically been your equal ever since you turned pro does suggest the difference was psychological - ie a choker. Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: TightEnd on January 30, 2011, 02:46:15 PM murray is a great player, would love him to win many grand slams
I agree with Andrew though, there looks to be a psychological flaw in the biggest of games Title: Re: Australian Open Post by: Rockstar on January 30, 2011, 03:23:37 PM Having your mummy following you around the tour watching every game probably doesnt help much either
