Wow thanks for all the nice welcomes, its very friendly here and pretty active! I suppose I better tell you a bit about myself...

I'm 18 years old and live in Canterbury, Kent. I started playing poker after watching it on tv, then went to a tutor night at the casino where i'm a regular lol, started playing and a lovely woman called Ruth took me under her wing and taught me how to be aggressive lol! I'm still a beginner but I love the game and hope to improve!

Thank you all for letting me be part of the forum.

Love Sophie xx  ;cheerleader;

Awesome idea.

I once heard him say, 'Taylor's up and down the ockey like an octopus doing the limbo.'

Complete gibberish, but legendary.

I first noticed Waddell when I heard him describe Phil Taylor as Britains greatest living sportsman. Now I know he throws a decent arrow but come on.

is darts a sport? most of the arguments against poker being a sport could apply to non physical activities like darts couldnt they ;scarymoment;

I think darts is physical.

If snooker, archery, clay pigeon shooting, etc are sports, then I don't see why not.

Non physical?
How so? then i suppose snooker is not a sport either or shooting or a miriad of others.
There is tremendous skill in darts, more so than most other sports IMO.

 we all know the heart rate of a poker player is probably far higher than your average darts / snooker / golfer / etc. surely the physical strain of a 14 hour session at the world series must out weigh the physical strain of 7 sets of darts

and I never said darts wasnt skillful or a sport

Always made me laugh when it was brother and sister playing, him throwing darts her answering questions.

"Congratulations you've won bully's star prize - this brand new speedboat"

He lives on the 14th floow in a high rise tower block in London, she lives 300 miles away in the cumbrian hills....... half a speedboat each - just what they always wanted.

Love seeing the occasional repeat and cringing at all the "fashion statements" being made - did people honestly dress like that without it being for a charity bet?

p.s. i've said it on another thread because i didnt see this one but  :hello: ;welcome; poppet7 :)
