25 ppl in so $1250, payouts still to be decided, assuming only ppl in have voted there's still 4 ppl left to vote, will leave it open for couple more days to give everyone a chance since first couple of events aren't going to make that much difference.

not against it, but its being done through the spreadsheet that Tighty is kindly doing for us all. Which is through the Sky freebie.

They are allowing Ivey swaps in the main sky thread, I take it for the interests of mainly easyness, that will be the case here too?

Meh, I thought the people asking for a swap where levelling, no idea how that got through but if everyone else is fine with it then I guess, ok.

Sigh, swapping is ridic, and that's comin from someone who has Ivey

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: Nico29 on June 01, 2011, 11:18:41 AM
yeah agree swapping is ridic, but obv if allowed in main has to be on here if only 4 ease in scoring each person's team

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: TightEnd on June 01, 2011, 11:22:05 AM
the main comp is free. Deliberately didn't do a $ competition.

the wsop has virtually not started

well over half the field has Ivey, many as captain.

keeps a lot of interest in the main comp if people get the swap for this unusual event

No more swaps

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: strak33 on June 01, 2011, 11:33:53 AM
The reason i didnt pick ivey was becuase of something like this coming up.

Presume swaps wont be allowed in the $50

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: mondatoo on June 01, 2011, 11:59:36 AM
People in the prop shouldn't change there team imo. I'm not saying this because of my own team but if people are allowed to change Ivey but not Ferguson, yet they are both withdrawing for the same reason then that isn't fair.

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: outragous76 on June 01, 2011, 12:16:53 PM
As someone not involved in the prop, I'd say Ivey swaps should def not be allowed. Not like this is out if the blue!

V surprised it was allowed in the other thread. Even more so that some players won't play for the same reasons but are not in iveys position.

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: Amatay on June 01, 2011, 12:32:57 PM
Obv in favour of swaps but , surely we should corresspond with Tightys spreadsheet as its easier

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: Gazza on June 01, 2011, 12:33:30 PM
This prop is based on the rules of the main competition, if those rules change, so do these.

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: mondatoo on June 01, 2011, 12:35:41 PM
Tighty has very kindly offered to do scores for our prop based on original teams, I think this is the fairest way, it's just unfortunate if you picked Ivey/Ferguson or both.

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: DaveShoelace on June 01, 2011, 12:36:52 PM

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.

The vote will go in favour of a swap becuase every man and his dog picked ivey.

Swaps should defo be allowed. Not just coz I have Ivey. Would've said so anyway. Pointless comp if more than half the field have one less runner.

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.

I will do either

I have noted which players have been swapped in

i have created a second scoreboard for the $50 comp.

You just let me know if its originial teams or including swaps

The original comp includes the swaps

Post by: MC on June 01, 2011, 01:02:19 PM
We all did this for a bit of fun and to make WSOP a bit more interesting. Pretty uninteresting if you have no chance of winning because you picked Ivey.

Also, 6 people have yet to pay, and if they have picked Ivey and you don't allow swaps, they won't be paying.

A bit unfair on those who have stumped up $50, no?

Swaps or refund imo.

not sure this philosophy would apply to much else. If half the field fell at the first fence in the national and your horse was still running I don't think anyone would ask for a restart.

fair enough in a case like this where it is friendly and pennies involved etc. I'm not bothered, i don't have Ivey, but pretty sure i wouldn't be overly bothered if i did. Akuna mattata (*Sp)

GL all anyways. Hope this ends up being a good crack

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.

How about everyone allowed the swap BUT anyone who picked Ivey starts with a 5 point penalty?

Title: Re: WSOP Fantasy contest, $50 prop.
Post by: mondatoo on June 01, 2011, 01:18:44 PM
Do I have no chance of winning because I have Ferguson then ? Generally asking, not being sarcastic. Obv different abilities but those with Ferguson are also one player short but can't do anything about it. I really don't see how it could be fair that people get to change one person but others not another when it's for the same reason. I'm not blaming Tighty at all, he's giving up his time to do this for us, for free, so nobody should be whinging, but the rules of his free comp have nothing to do with this imo, we are just using the scores from that to do ours.

Imo swapping shouldn't be allowed after event 1 has started, vote is going up for 24 hours since don't really want this to drag out.

Payouts are 60/30/10

Do I have no chance of winning because I have Ferguson then ? Generally asking, not being sarcastic. Obv different abilities but those with Ferguson are also one player short but can't do anything about it. I really don't see how it could be fair that people get to change one person but others not another when it's for the same reason. I'm not blaming Tighty at all, he's giving up his time to do this for us, for free, so nobody should be whinging, but the rules of his free comp have nothing to do with this imo, we are just using the scores from that to do ours.

This obv.

Obviously if everyone else is swapping then i will too, but just doesnt make any sense. Not fair on the people who were shrewd didnt pick Ivey too.

I guess if the majority wna swap then thats whats gna happen and if your really not happy about it then drop out.

A few people have suggested this as a reasonable option.  In my situation, assuming no significant strength of feeling to the contrary, then I think the best option for me is to withdraw from this.

The reasons for this are that I don't think I have a reasonable chance to compete without two of my selections participating.  I also think the option as to whether or not to make a substitution is going to be very divisive in a competition where there's money at stake.  I'm happy to use a sub in the freeroll comp where there's nothing at stake other than bragging rights, but I'm much less comfortable doing so in the prop bet.

From my own point of view, I don't follow the poker circuit goings on closely enough to have been aware, as some claim, that this was coming for the last few weeks.  I've certainly not read anything to suggest that high profile players might choose to boycott the WSOP, for whatever reason.

Like I say, if there's a massive voice of protest at this decision then I'll abide by the majority, whatever that decision may be, but otherwise consider me to have reluctantly withdrawn.

As I was hitting send on my last post it occurred to me that there's another option that might be worth considering - only having the top 7 scorers in each team count towards the totals.

I'm not sure, at the end of the day that it'll massively change the final outcome, as we'll all have some dud picks in there and it'll potentially future-proof the competition in case anyone else decides to drop out going forward.

Those of us with Ivey/Ferguson in our teams will have just lost out on a bit of flexibility, but we're potentially still able to compete.

Not sure what people will think of this, but I'd be happy to continue in the comp on this basis.

Tighty has very kindly offered to do scores for our prop based on original teams, I think this is the fairest way, it's just unfortunate if you picked Ivey/Ferguson or both.

Oh, just seen this.

This is clearly the fairest way then.

No swaps = fair on everyone. You submitted your team and paid the $. Shouldn't be able to swap or back out now just because some of your team isnt playing. (I have Ivey too btw)

Obviously understand the FREE competition can have swaps, but the $ should not be allowed imo.

It is bordering on farce anyway surely. No entries after event 1 begins but when ivey says he isnt playing everyone who has picked him can switch. Oh yeah ok.

What happens if people decide to drop out and we are left with only 3 players in it. We still keeping the 60/30/10 payout or will we scrap the vote that happened and have a new one?

Nothing should change and no1 should be able to leave!

If your in a Fantasy Football comp with no subs and transfers and you have Rooney and he gets injured 2 minutes into the new season for the whole season, you wouldnt try and claim your money back.

Also, some people had the likes of Hansen and Antonious last year didnt they, and they played about 2 events betweeen them, people wernt given their money back for that. So whats the difference??

A decision needs to be made here since this cant just drag on. The vote is semi pointless since ppl not even involved could vote, there where more votes for the payout than people involved.

Since I started the thread and took the money I guess I'm mostly responsible so I'll take the flak. We will do it with the original picks and those confirmed in OP will be expected to pay, nobody will be entitled to a refund because they have Ivey or anyone else. I disagree that those who have Ivey have no chance, also as I have said multiple times there is no way it's fair to say people can change Ivey but not Ferguson because more people have Ivey, in a free comp yeah ok, but not in a one for money, pretty sure nobody can disagree with that and I don't think it's fair to ask Tighty to do a separate spreadsheet for us when he has nothing to do with this, on top of the extra work he's took on in the free one by allowing people to change just Ivey, crazy man that he is  ;)

I'm sure some wont agree with this but we can't just discuss it for days on end and I guess I'm best placed to make the decision and I genuinely believe this is the fairest way.

Tighty can correct me if wrong but i'm pretty sure its not much extra work as our teams points totals on the two different sheets will be automatically driven by the results of the tournaments input on another sheet.

How would it work ? There'll be ppl who won't come on blonde for a few days who have Ivey as Capt so from what event would it be, obv it couldn't be for events already running, if everyone does there own someones still going to have to check it's right, not saying anyone would cheat but someone could easily miscalculate. Swapping Capt seems pretty much just as complicated as swapping Ivey is.

Currently 10-2 for option 1 inc myself so looks like we will be carrying on, sorry to those that disagree but as I've said I just decided what seemed fairest and possible. GLGL everyone.

Option 1 ainec.

Why people think they should be able to change Captain just cos they arnt playing is beyond belief!

You picked your team, WITH a captain, who now isnt playing. Whos fault is that?? Only yours and no1 elses, you didnt have to pick him. End of

Its so obviously not fair on people like Strakk and a few others who dont have Ivey at all.

How is it beyond belief?? Swaps have been allowed in the free thread so I think it's natural we have had the same discussion in this thread. It's also clearly tilt's fault not ours.

Appreciate it's getting messy so wd monda for making a decision, option 1 let it ride.

Cos Tighty allowed changes cos its a FREE comp, so doesnt really matter if changes are made and Tighty can make whatever changes he likes as hes putting on a FREE comp.

Yeah can see its kinda Tilts fault too, but clearly not fair for the people who didnt pick Ivey in 1st place for a comp that involves $.

Anyways, looks like majority say option 1. ty Monda, and ty Tighty for doing spreadsheet. Can you post our spreadhseet on here for us to look at? :) Or is it in the same 1?

tyty, gl all!

Imo swapping shouldn't be allowed after event 1 has started, vote is going up for 24 hours since don't really want this to drag out.

Payouts are 60/30/10

I have taken The Thistle off the list as he didn't enter a team.

24 ppl in so payouts are 720/360/120. Everyone happy with me keeping the money on Tilt yeah ?

Yeah something not worked out right?

I figure I should have 25pts given that I have 27pts on the free to enter, and have Tom Dwan instead of Ivey there so deduct 2pts. Yet this has me on 23...

No need to call it a farce

1 pt for cashing

3 pts for a final

5 points for awin

you had 1 pt for this Mercier cash, you get 4 more for him winning

Mortensen   3
Ivey   0
D Kelly   6
Lisandro   2

I didnt realise we were using the 'sky player last longer' criteria for this one, I guess we never stipulated but I thought this was just a 'standard' fantasy league.

Obv I wouldnt be saying this if I hadnt just been overtaken

no, he chose a new captain, I think

the correct final scores for the top three are

Seven2unsuited   71

Gazza    66 (- 6pts bonomo)

DaveShoelace   63 (- 1pt Selbst)

as after a while I appear to have forgotten to subtract swap scores

I can't login thus cant transfer!

Me Dad's got a scanner on his printer so will have it sorted for the weekend.

PS Your more than welcome to have the login details or come on teamviewer to check that I actually can't login to the account, just incase you had any doubt. I was going to go to the nearest computer shop now and sort this so it's done but then I realised I don't have any mail here within the last three months that has the same address listed as is on my Tilt account so I'll have to go to me Mam's to sort that out, just a massive ballache tbh but as I already said I will sort it out asap.

No worries I believe ya.

Regarding the address, I've moved since FTP went down and I just sent them something with my current address and my driving liscense, and explained in the email it was my new address, and they were fine with that.
