Hello all...

You have 1 pass. You score 0 for that question. Please note you may not pass the final question.

No using google etc.

Oh joy, wedding anniversaries again. This'll be fun!

Q1, you mean the most popular London edition only I presume?

I can see another lot of riots happening after this one.

As Boshi says:
1 - You get Liverpool, Manchester etc, free parking, go, chance and community chest are not street/road names and neither utilities or stations, guessing these are not allowed?
9 - best to say the British version of Scrabble as i have played Farsi and Russian version but somehow i don't think putting Alef down would get me a point.

Anyways, the bullshit over, I'm in having submitted non pedantic answers! Lets gogogogo

Edit: you say we have one pass but don't mention if we have to use it or not

Farcical that it's taken this long to get the questions up.

Sorry for any repeat of old questions dude. As you know I'm new to this and cba to trawl through 70 odd old quizzes to avoid duplication.

And yes, the popular London one please.

1. You correctly point out that non of these are street/road names, and therefore they will not be allowed. Non-pedantic answers appreciated and I shall TRY to QM the same way ie: should a "Lane" be mentioned I will allow it.

9. OP altered to insist on UK Scrabble. Feel free to resubmit non Russian answers.

You have one pass and do not have to use it. Gain all the unnecessary points you like imo.

Next door's kid just got a recorder, by the sounds of things. He can play a shrill squeal and a non-shrill squeal. He insists on doing this in the back garden. It woke me up and 1pm after five hours sleep. If it weren't for the wasp nest residing outside my window I would have opened my opinion to everyone within a mile. Ten seconds of this Toto song has given me perspective. How I was longing for the days of the horrifying woodwind rendition of "I'm the standalone reason for your soaring blood pressure," by little Ben. Or Tom. Or something of that nature.

In, btw.

So having 52 options is too broad? Sorry.

I'd imagine you'll all get Aces though, 'ey.

Just wondering, is the scoring the same as in other rsq? Specifically referring to aces scoring. -1 point for an unique ace? (as in, only person to 'ace' that question)

Haha she knows it's a priority.

We're in Tuscany now anyway. The perfect setting to chill by the pool, watch the sun set, and use the wifi to rail the rsq, what more could one want from an evening.

For a similar situation imagine the question "Name a team who has won the Premier League". Blackburn would for example be a fail using this logic as they won the Premiership. But they're both clearly the same competition.

And just gone onto Wikipedia. Typing European Cup redirects to Champions League.

Second paragraph: Prior to 1992, the tournament was officially called the European Champion Clubs' Cup but was usually referred to as simply the European Cup.

It's clearly referring to it as being the same competition. The Champions League wasn't a new competition in its own right. It's just a renaming of the European Cup.

Completely different comp with different format. I'll use your own arguement. Saying Forest have won the Champions League is not like saying Blackburn have won the Prem (which they have), it's like saying Liverpool have won the Prem because they won the old division one.

Who cares? They muck around with the format all the time. Still the same competition.

Just realised i'm not exactly right about the Premiership I don't think. Certainly not officially named that now. But I think Premier League has always been valid. Meh whatever, my point still stands :)

Besides you're doing them a injustice.  Forest won a competition for the respective league champions of Europe, rather than some contrived to be a money-spinner tournament that lets 4th placed nobodies into it.

The Champions League has had format changes since the name change. Does this mean it becomes a different competition every time they change the format? No. Does changing the name of a competition make it a different competition? No.

My answer is valid.

Whats the deal with next week?

Don't really want to do another so soon after doing last weeks

Can't be having 3 farces of epic proportions in a row you mean.

Leave it to one of the old schoolers who actually know what they're doing IMO.

Or Mitch.

Ever win one and ull get a say who's next son. Kthxbye
